Another classic by miyazaki, the whole scheme is kinda like Laputa. And there is also this good vs evil thing in this one too. And lots of \"teachings\" like all miyazakis films have. Alltogether solid, pleasant and also thinking inducing anime. A must see for all Miyazaki fans!

Both are directed by Hayao Miyazaki~ if you enjoyed Castle in the Sky, you should have just as much fun with Future Boy Conan. Both feature a boy and a girl with a power ^__^

the same art, the same director and kinda the same scenes and character designs in both the main character is a girl and a boy, and the boy helping the girl and all that... they're really similar!

Both are about a boy & a girl trying to make their way to a mythical land, and going up against opposing political/governmental forces that get in their way. The leading girls in both also have something the governmental forces want to obtain to use for malicious purposes, and they chase them down and attempt to capture the girls in both because of this. Both of them feature airships, and have battles that take place in the sky. The art style is also very similar in each, which isn't surprising, considering they share the same director.

Two very similar works by Hayao Miyazaki. A fantasy adventure film about a boy rescuing a girl from an evil man who needs her to gain the power to destroy and rule over the world, using the weapons of the old world before the apocalypse happened.

Both anime revolve around a boy who meets a girl who go on a adventure to protect said girl from antagonists with their own sinister agenda, the artstyle looks similar and both are directed by Hayao Miyazaki.

Both the film and TV series were conceived by Hayao Miyazaki using early concept elements for an adaption of Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. In both instances, a boy and girl are traveling together to uncover the mysteries of a lost civilization while being pursued by an evil organization.
