Why are these similar? Beyond the fighting there may not seem like anything in common, and yet both the main male protagonist and female protagonist are strong characters. There is also the implication of romance between the two along with fighting the fact things don't feel as if they would work out.

Ayano and Akane both act the same if the person they like disrespects them they get mad and fight them though Ranma and Kazuma are both stronger than them and like to tease them. The differences in both shows are huge in Ranma 1/2 it is a light hearted random dojo fighting show while this show is more darker and sort of funny but mostly action packed. Another common thing about both of shows are Akane and Ayano both have dads who want to push them to fall in love with the lead guy.
