High quality sci-fis. There aren`t much similarities except the most important thing:the unique atmosphere is present in both.
Both series contain sci fi themes and revolves around kids being the protagonists dealing with strange conflicts in their world.
Both series has mysterious atmosphere as strange occurrences takes place and contains psychological themes.
Both series are unique, intelligent, and a good watch for those interested into more refined style of anime.
Both have a similar atmosphere (though Dennou Coil is not as depressing as Bokurano), the character designs are very similar (at least to me) specially because of the dull color palette, and both involve a lot of children. I first thought they had almost the same staff, but nope, they are just very similar.
