These two animes are kind of similar because they are both about killing for the good but in different ways. Neither are gory at all and they both hooked me with twists and shocks throughout.
In both anime the main goal is to make the world full of peace and justice in order to do it different people fight for justice in different ways. Both have fiction but they becomes total real if it comes to life and death.

To change this dreadful world. Akame ga Kill and Death Note both know how to set the tone for those who wish to change the world and the battles that come forth for them in this.
Akame ga Kill's Night Raid is a group of assassins that wish to wipe off the tyrants controlling the empire from the face of the world. Death Note is similar though prodigy Light Yagami does the same with the power of a Death Note.
Both anime are great at what they present, with Death Note's amazing and interesting psychological mind games, leaving Akame ga Kill with the epic battles with overpowered
