Maoyuu Maou Yuusha

I'll start by saying that these are different in a lot of ways, but the overall feel and some of the themes are the same. SAO only touches on what Maoyuu Maou Yuusha is all about. While they both have some cool action here and there (SAO has more than Maoyuu Maou Yuusha by far, which isn't a lot if you've seen SAO), they both deal with bigger themes and they are mostly about the relationship between the lead male and female characters.
They both are midieval themed with some magic and monsters, and the main character in both is the strongest fighter in the land.
