The few episodes I watched were fine, this is the life of a teenage girl in Japan who can not only teleport, but can sense when someone needs help and apparently has telekinesis. Sometimes it's dramatic, sometimes it normal stuff, sometimes it comedy. I have nothing against the old style, and simple art. My objection to this series is the fact that the father in this anime paints pictures of his daughter nude, she's only 16, there is something wrong with a father that does that, also those nude pictures of Mami keep popping up here and there. Those things are what disturbs me, although ... they might not disturb others. That sort of thing might be acceptable in 1987 Japan, but I don't like it. I think it hints at something about the writers and animators. I will say that the dialogue and plots of the episodes I watched were fine, just normal stuff, except for that one episode where her father was painting her nude. If it hadn't been for that nudity I would have kept watching.

SPOILER ALERT What an awful movie. The character art is comic book style. The animation what there is of it in not much better than a Hanna-Barbera cartoon, most of the time this looks like a 'kinetic novel' rather than an animated movie. There is one scene in the movie that is straight out of a video game, at least it looks like it, and takes you out of the movie entirely, WTF? There are a bunch of sex scenes at the beginning of the movie, that have nothing to do with the plot. And how are these women getting so excited by a ... man who just lays there unemotional? There were a couple of vehicles that bothered me, one a Mustang on Catalina Island California, cars are extremely rare on that island and I'm pretty sure they don't rent them, and then there is the Ford Laser in San Francisco, that wasn't available in North America until 1987 at the earliest, this movie is from 1983. That's minor, this was mace in Japan so I can see why they would get that wrong. Then there is the simplistic, confusing, overly complicated plot, it's ridiculous, especially since we don't know the reasons until the end of the movie, and they are really stupid. And a surprise twist(?) in the post credit epilogue. Of course this is Golgo 13 so we know what to expect with him, he can be critically wounded and still fight. The only good thing I can say about this movie is that there are a few scenes well composed, but they were very few. I don't know how I stayed through the 93 minutes of this movie, It is not recommended. It's a waste of time.

This version of Dirty Pair is so-so. The plot doesn't get interesting until episode 4, the character art is basic, as is the animation. The action scenes are quick cuts, and the background art is lacking detail. The voice acting is pretty good though. Our 2 MCs are only 17 and I wonder what the writers were thinking, this is an alternative setting but almost no one gets good at a job like that at that age. There are a few attempts at fan service but nothing really special. And there are a few attempts at humour, most of which falls flat. I will say ... the the characters do mature by the end of this season, though I think 6 (20 minute) episodes couldn't be called a season. It's fine for what it is, but it is still just average.

This anime is a bit weird. The story starts in one direction then takes an unexpected oblique turn, a WTF? moment. The voice acting is fine, it's everything else that is wrong. First the MCs are one dimensional, second the background images are not quite right, they are some sort of combination of drawn and CGI, it looks odd. The character art is just lazy. And this is not erotic, just because womens breasts are exposed does not make it erotic. Because of the gore, subject matter and nudity it is 18+. While the characters have some of the character traits of the original Dororon ... Enma Kun (1973?), they just don't pull them off here. There are some time skips that are mentioned but no reason is given for them. The characters are also out of place and make no effort to modernize. This short series could have made a better effort and had a better show, it just seems to have been made to make money. If you are looking for an 'erotic' thriller this ain't it. If you want something a bit more fun and ecchi watch 'Prince Enma Burning Up". This series is OK but could have been better.

This OVA is crap. It's just game play with added scenes. What's worse is the resolution is horrible even by 2006 standards, it looks out of focus constantly. The sound is not only terrible, it is also very low I had to turn my sound way up and still could barely make out what they were saying. I tried but I could only make it to the 40 minute mark. This is essentially unwatchable, I don't understand why this has a 9 rating on 9 anime and a 6 rating here. I have watched the other Biohazard videos and enjoyed them, I thought I ... might like this too, but it just a DVD they included with the game.

Oh Joy! Another stupid romance with action sequences. When will they figure out that two people constantly yelling at each other is annoying more than anything else. It certainly doesn't indicate any kind of romantic feelings, if they have trouble expressing their attraction to one another they will likely be quiet. end of rant.
The plot here is decent but average, there's a McGuffin that both good and evil are searching for and its ownership seems to go back and forth, until one of them is given that McGuffin, most of it anyway, by a protagonist from the beginning of the series, the motivation for this ... is unclear. I only made it to episode 47 so I have no idea if they ever get it.
Then there is the Deus Ex Machina that magically gives our hero extra power after he learns how to use it, and then its overpowered, just one swing and it destroys enemies.
And again we got 'Bond Villains' who have every opportunity to kill the MCs but never do it. Can we just get some heroes and villains that are relatively equal in power and intellect?
The artwork is plain but decent, and the animation is average.
There is one arc that doesn't make sense, a tribe of wolf demons and the wolves themselves eat an entire village of humans and our merry band of heroes show some compassion for their loss of life and after that initial show of compassion they help that same tribe of wolf demons, apparently forgetting that those wolves had eaten a bunch of humans. Wendy Teresa Francis!!??
While the MC gets some character development, he never learns much, and the other MC just has no character development. Like Fruits Baskets it is the side characters that are much more interesting than the MCs.
This series is so repetitive you could probably start watching at any point, and as I said at the start the MCs are almost constantly yelling at each other and it is just so tiresome.

Watamote is not a comedy, it is a slice of life anime that is both depressing and cringeworthy, especially if you have experienced any social anxiety or have been painfully shy.
Our protagonist, Tomoko, seems to be have both of those problems. No one seems to notice her, except her one friend, who hardly shows ... up, because she goes to a different school.
Tomoko has no idea how to be social and when she tries, she seems terrified, but she does try. Like many of us, she wants to be accepted and noticed. But she has no idea how to do that, and no one is helping her. She tries to find answers online but usually gets either no answer, or weird ones.
She struggles to find ways to be accepted/noticed and usually gets it wrong. And when she is not noticed, sometimes she has rather violent thoughts. Sometimes she lives in her head daydreaming about how she would like things to go, and then comes back to reality.
There is little hope for her, and many times she just resigns herself to the situation, only to come back later and try again to speak to someone.
Minor spoilers here: Near the end there is one episode that has some overt lesbianism, which was unnecessary and out of place (what were those writers thinking?!) And also near the end there is one person who reaches out to her.
Watching this was painful and I don't know how I made it through the entire series. If this was meant as a serious anime then it has succeeded, if it was meant to be a comedy it failed completely

Saeba Ryo is the second most lecherous man in the universe, beaten only by Moroboshi Ataru (Urusei Yatsura). Most of these episodes are more about Ryo perving on women, and being hit with hammers by his partner Makimura Kaori. It is light hearted fun, and there is some action. However the series started with Saeba being a 'sweeper' which seemed to mean something of an assassin/problem eliminator, he shot people and a couple of episodes were dark, but by about the 5th episode it turned into a comedy, with a bit of action. Ryo is an over the top human superhero, he has no ... powers but he has a heightened sixth sense and unbelievable accuracy with guns. His problem is he is always trying to get into women's pants, though he is never successful. It's pretty much the same joke over and over again, somehow it never wore thin. It's and OK watch but I wouldn't binge watch it unless you are a fan.

First of all the synopsis here is a bit off, the tanuki are not posing as beautiful women, they're just having a party. This is an interesting animation, although not he quality that we see nowadays. A good example of early animation, and quite similar the ones I have seen from the US. Certainly worth 9 minutes of your time if you like anime. I found 4 different versions, one at crunchy roll and 3 at you tube, all edited slightly differently, one as short as 3 minutes and the others about 9 minutes, one of them had Russian subtitles.

What were they thinking? It has a decent enough story, but some of the characters are all over the place and some things don't make any sense. This became unwatchable for me because the female lead was always angry and physically abusive. I don't like watching abusive characters and female ones always seem to get a pass in anime, and I don't understand why. If the situation were reversed the male character would be hated, but if a female is abusive it's seen as humourous and acceptable. I really was interested in the story but after 4 episodes of watching a guy get punched and ... have things thrown at him just because the female lead was angry, it is unacceptable.
