Ouran Koukou Host Club is my first harem anime, and i loved it.
At first, the anime seems to be just a shoujo about a girl and dumb guys around her, however, it gets more serious (and comical) during the show, you get to know all of the ouran host club members and you end up loving each one by their story.
Every episode is a new has a new plot, and has start, development, an ending. It can be about love, just comedy, or interaction of the members. Some episodes make you think further: about life and relationships.
