Story: 7/10.
I love Tokyo Ghoul for its ability to tell both sides of a tale. It all really comes together. It teaches the reader that no person or motive is black and white. I also think the author has a brilliant use of characters. Almost everyone in this series comes back again, to a fault. Some characters really just need to die and stay dead.

I walked into Boogiepop with no prior knowledge on the show, and walked out horribly bewildered. This series is extremely confusing and fails to help the watcher understand the direction of the story. While some may find the unknown factors of this anime interesting or attractive, I did not. I also found that the pacing of this show was questionable. The setup and execution of the flashback in episodes 2-3 is a perfect example of my complaints. Bnha is my comfort show, I’ve loved it since the beginning, but I cannot express enough that I was disappointed that the franchise produced something of this quality. While the movie was enjoyable enough for me (citing my bias above), I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. If you’re a fan of the show looking to enjoy offshoots of the series expecting the same like-ability, skip this one!
