For all the people reading the reviews and seeing the people like "Everyone in this serious is an edge lord🤓" are simply wrong. The only reason I can see this series being "edgy" is the bozo's who pretend to be the main character in real life. The main character has his reasons for why he acts "edgy" And they're good reasons. I think the series takes normal tropes and breaks them, mixes them up. The combination of "death note" and "blue lock" this series brings is genius. Now, don't get me wrong, the fandom is split. There are 3 types of COTE fans.

1. the edgy ... guy who wants to be like ayanokouji,
2. the guy who can't stop simping over the girls,
3. the guy who just enjoys the series.

This series is enjoyable and really that's all that matters. I think people who try to critique a series even though they aren't qualified to do it are just as edgy as the people they say are edgy. If you enjoy a series then let that be that. I don't like people who think they're qualified to critique things even though they barely know anything about writing and story making.

Anyways, it boils down to if you enjoy the series, read it. If you don't, then don't read it. Have a good day.
