I'm a fan of ecchi. I enjoy fan service. That being said, I'm not sure how this anime is scoring a rank higher than 5 or 6 (which is what most ecchi anime score). There is really not that much to be enjoyed here besides the incestuous obsession with his little sister, some ripping on Stephanie (the comic relief character), and lots of bright colors.
The two main characters always win, there is never a struggle. Honestly, it's very lacking in the ecchi department for an ecchi series, and it's very lacking in character development, more realistic story base, and struggle for anything but an ecchi

Really horrible anime. Seems like the only thing is a parody. It seems as if the makers want you to take the plot seriously, but the serious vibe + ridiculousness of the actual happenings are a horrible combination.
If you're into watching very relaxed, light-hearted anime, this might be for you. But you'll be in for a surprise, as normally a light-hearted anime has light-hearted plot and minimal suspense, but in a believable situation. This anime is the opposite. Serious plot and fighting scenes, in a ridiculous situation. It is very hard to take seriously or even find comical. If you decide to watch this anime, good ...

I'm a fan of harem anime, and since I heard about Bakemonogatari I immediately assumed I was going to love it. After I'd begun watching it, though, it was so utterly boring I wasn't able to get passed the first 5 episodes. I struggled through, hoping it would get better, but I eventually had to drop it.
I might come back to it some day in hopes of giving it another chance (because I really do want it to be good) but in short, it's a very slow paced and dialogue-filled and monotone anime that seems more like a shoujo. If you enjoy ridiculously slow, slice-of-life style ... |
