Imagine if Record Of Ragnarok Season 1 and Seven Deadly Sins Season 3 walked into a bar, had sex overnight, and created a child about a few years later. This is what this abomination of an "adaptation" is. Every episode past the first one is so terribly animated, with no attention to detail or any care given to capture the art style of the original manga—actual atrocity to Junji Ito's work.
So I say this from the bottom of my heart, if you are interested in Uzumaki, PLEASE PLEASE for the love of god go read the manga instead, this adaptation is a genuine atrocity
...
to the source material considering how beautifully animated episode 1 was.

Kokuhaku is ultimately the best anime ever made in our era. Each actor lives through their role, only emanating true acting skill that you forgot completely that it's a mere 'anime' and not a live-action experience. Each plot point, scenario, and dialogue line is crafted with the utmost writing that could only be found in movies of billions of budget cash. The background and supporting actors really give the anime life and verity, yet still catering the trope of being relatable and finding the good in us. Beyond the expertise of the film-making portion and the intensity of each scene, Kokuhaku gives just more than
...
a pretty outline that most movies fail to bring upon the audience: an amazing message for all ages and people alike. Girl's devotion to protecting and saving her peers shows that we can all do big actions and save others, teaching (most importantly) small children to be selfless and caring about others while appealing to adult audiences as well. Overall, this anime is by far one of the most important anime to see to expand the limit of your creativity and what a true piece of art can be formed into. The only problem I have is that this anime sets an extremely high standard for movies to come: nothing I have found comes even close to what Kokuhaku puts on the board. See this anime right now!

If there were a genre that needed to be buried and left to rest already, it would be the idol genre. In this (somewhat) recent reanimation of the genre, there really isn't any substance left, just a pile of rotting meat and bones. Now don't get me wrong, there are some aspects that I enjoyed here, but unfortunately, this is a massive downgrade to it's predecessor that COMPLETELY goes back on everything that made the prequel enjoyable to watch. The reason why I'm writing this here is with the hope that we, as a community can objectively accept the fact to why this piece of
...
media we call an "anime" is terrible and make sure that a show like this NEVER gets as high of a rating as an 8.02 ever again.
Now onto the review :)
My first glaring gripe that I had with this one was the animation quality compared to S1. Somewhere around episode 5 or so, the show really hit the fan hard visuals wise with the same old CGI from last season with the choppiest quality that it looks like you're literally playing Cyberpunk 2077 on the last gen consoles. The 2D animation is fine, but the 3D portions are complete garbage. The opening is at best, mediocre with not much to write home about for visuals, and feels like literally nothing has changed at all. Same case also goes with the ending as well.
The soundtrack is not that great either, like they're all the same stuff from last season with nothing new and just feels like cheap rerecordings' of the ones from the past season, and yeah they're "fire" as many people say they are but I don't see that unfortunately. I'm sorry, but this is absolutely fucking abysmal.
The plot starts losing its whole structure and what made its predecessor good as they literally reinvent the entire genre from being "yeah cool it's some idol crap" to "oh no there's ufos now the whole country is under some kind of curse we gotta save the entirety of Japan now" like what????? If you're gonna stick to one genre, stick with it. Don't try and stick an action packed trope into a slice of life or a music trope into an action packed trope and vice versa. The whole flashback backstory arc or whatever it was called was pretty cool for like 2 episodes, then it became super repetitive and made you wish they already moved on with it, as they literally tried way too hard to actually try and get the viewer to actually be interested in probably one of the most if not the absolute most boring character in the entire series. Characters are still about the same as last season, with literally little to no change at all.
Wrapping up, there's a reason to why the director left the series after the movie's announcement and why the second season was IMMEDIATELY left in the dust after it finished airing. ZLS:R is really more of a pathetic joke of what could've been a nice twist to the idol genre, but unfortunately, it ended up being much worse than it's prequel. Do note that I do not have anything against music themed shows, Bocchi the Rock, Your Lie in April (haven't added but watched like a few episodes a few years back), to give a few examples, but if you're gonna make something music related, at least stick to it. Don't try and reinvent the wheel and to the point where it becomes unrecognizable. ZLS:R has virtually nothing to make the viewer think about the plotline at all. Maybe I'll revisit the first season again if I feel like it because it's probably not as bad as that 5 I gave it years back (probably didn't deserve it but we'll see) but I know for a fact that Revenge PALES in comparison to the first season on almost every level, and it's not even a competition at that point. It goes to show that Kounosuke Uda & Munehisa Sakai are just nothing more than hack directors at best. Please note that I do not have anything against them (never interacted with them and no beef on a personal level), but their writing and directing are a bit questionable. MAPPA has made some good quality shows such as Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Vinland Saga after this mess, but this one will forever be marked as it's weakest work yet.
There's a reason to why this was never talked about after its airing period was over while it's predecessor gets all the love it deserved.
It's not worth your time, it's not worth the brainpower, and it's nothing more than just a shell of what the original series stood for.
Thank you for reading.
Cheers!

I've last watched this on September 13th, so if there is anything off, I apologize for that.
If you were to tell me in 2020 that an anime would singlehandedly save a game with one of the worst launches in history, I would be flabbergasted, but here we are in 2022, with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, the anime that saved a game with one of the worst launches ever and gave it a second chance at life. I myself have been waiting since June of 2020 when it was first announced, and it was sure worth the wait.
Studio Trigger absolutely knocked it out of the park with
...
this one, the aesthetic and atmosphere look absolutely breathtaking, it almost feels like I'm watching Akira or Redline. The neon colors blend in well with the overall look of Night City and it is just amazing. The action is literally balls to the walls, well choreographed and feels very enjoyable and satisfying to watch.
The soundtrack/sound design is absolutely astounding as well, they really help compliment each scene well and even the more calmer/ambient scenes, the soundtrack choice is absolutely perfect for what it is. The actors did an absolute amazing job with voicing their respective characters, so props to them as well.
Characters are very likeable and well fleshed out, they all feel very unique in a way and have some kind of development and great designs. The minor ones are pretty decent, just not as good as the main ones, but then again they're just minor characters. xD
Now, this is where I have only one negative about this show. And that's the plot itself. Now don't get me wrong, it's really good, but it just kind of feels like it had too much for too little time, and you'll start to notice that within the first few episodes as the pacing feels a little too fast, especially for a first episode. It doesn't create a detriment to the show or anything, but it's something that I wanted to point out.
Overall, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is one of the best anime that has released in recent times, and is absolutely worth the watch. Even if you're not a fan of the game or not a fan of the cyberpunk genre in general, I'd highly recommend giving it a go.
Thank you Trigger and CDPR for one of the best shows in recent times.

Gonna make this one short since this was 3 minutes, so here we go.
If you've come from a moistcr1tikal video about this "piece of media", well congratulations, because this repulsive piece of shit is literally the most hideous thing you'll ever come across in your entire life.
The imagery of it is really weird, it feels like something you'd see in a wild fever dream you'd have on random nights. This isn't helped much at all by the sound design either, since it's really mostly random noises and has no idea what the hell it really wants to be at all.
Everything else about
...
is pretty weird and pretty much unnerving in a way that it makes you want to reconsider your life choices after watching this.
Overall, if you hate yourself or you're absolutely bored out of your mind and have nothing better to do, just watch this, but if you ever consider watching this when you have actual time on your hands, please go consider watching something like Bio-Broly instead.

WARNING: Spoilers ahead.
Absolute dogshit. In all my years of watching Dragon Ball Z back when I was 9 years old, I would never think that anything as HORRIBLE as this pile of shit people call a movie would exist, yet here we are.
Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F is nothing more than another godawful lazy attempt to reel in fans that will literally eat anything DBZ related up, whether it's a new form or a villain with the most shit writing ever.
The whole premise of the plot is really whatever, like sure you can pass that considering how many plotholes this movie has
...
but what really annoys me is how in the end, they just say "fuck it, let's just do a rewind and then let Goku get the final kill because after all he's the main character LMFAO" type beat. The part where they give the other side characters a moment to shine was nice, but then they get washed within less than 5 minutes.
Quite honestly, watching Suicide Squad feels MILES better than whatever the fuck this type bullshit this is because it's something I can point and laugh at for being quite bad, but Resurrection F is just boring type of bad. Literally how did they make a good film with Battle of Gods then drop this abomination afterwards????? It literally makes 0 fucking sense how they could do that.
Aside from the negatives this heap of bullshit has, there are some ok aspects of it such as the music and art, but even then, only good art and sound direction can carry a movie so much. At the end of the day, I get that DBZ in general is not supposed to have that good of a story, but at least they could've tried to make it somewhat entertaining rather than stitching together 10 second poorly animated CGI fight gifs together and call it animation. Overall, save your time, go watch something else, because the DBS recap version of this specific movie is EVEN WORSE than the movie itself.
