Given this was Shinichiro Watanabe's latest work, after so many amazing things he'd done, I came to this with high expectations. They were all betrayed.

Animation: mid. Not terrible, but other than the pretty good battle choreography, I can only say the character designs and backgrounds are pretty generic.

Setting: A sci-fi setting in the mid-21st century could've been explored more, but we get almost no notion of how that world is different from ours, how much technology has changed, etc. It looks like '5 minutes into the future' but it tells us it's decades from now. This almost breaks the suspension of disbelief.

Characters: The main ... party is like a dollar-store version of the Cowboy Bebop one, with a capoeira-adjacent fighting MC that likes parkour, a waifu, a hacker girl and ok we maybe don't have a Jet Black equivalent. None are very developed, as the anime gives priority to the story and only dedicates roughly one episode to flesh out each character's backstory. That on its own may not be such a big deal, but their interactions are also generic enough that you don't get any notion that these characters could have more than one dimension.

Story: this is to me always the most important part of an anime, and this one has such a terrible script. Without spoiling too much, I will just say the conclusion was anticlimactic, the issues raised by the conflict are not dealt with more than with a few passing remarks, and the episodic stories are bad-to-mid. The hunt for prof Skinner is the overarching plot, but many of the 'clues' are just 'we hacked really hard into the previous clue, that yielded the next one!' without any real deductions or mystery, especially none the audience can follow along.

All in all I gave this a 4/10, though it's hard to disentangle from the disappointment due to my initially high expectations. Maybe if this had been a generic Cloverworks anime or something I would give it a 5, but this is Watanabe ffs.

I am sad to have become unable to recommend this anime.
The show starts off great and has a nice slice-of-life element to it plus some sci-fi.
The ending however is extremely vague and vibes-based and the plot is not followed through at all. Many threads are started and left as loose ends.
If you're ok with watching a cool story and characters but then not having an ending at all, watch this. At least the animation is pretty good too. But if having a poorly written, half-baked ending is enough to dissuade you, I strongly advise you to steer clear.

Pretty good for a low-budget isekai. This season feels slightly better than the first one, with more strategy talk. Some of the plans and stuff are interesting and a few scenes are moving.
I do wish they'd use the appraisal/kantei skill more but as far as a tactics anime this is alright.

If you're into isekai that have less 'OP protag' stuff and more of regular humans fighting it out, this is pretty good. Animation is meh and kinda still due to the obvious low-budget. The fanservice is not enough to be a big distraction, but unfortunately not inexistent either.

All in all this is like an ok ... show with good strategy talks (2nd season only), relatively interesting Politics, and moderately interesting characters and fights.

A pretty mid isekai. Watched 3 episodes and dropped as there was nothing in it urging me to keep watching, especially when this season is so packed with amazing shows.
It ranks far below kumo desuga nanika in my opinion, like it's worse sibling.

There is a bit of harem, very little into the stats system or anything, worldbuilding is almost zero, I see nothing that makes me think the plot will get better, and characters other than MC are barely developed. Compared to god isekai which by the third episode tend to have either a more fleshed out world or more developed characters.

This show is terrible. The plot moves at a snail's pace, the animation is cute in the beginning but over time you'll notice it is quite stiff, and there is not script, only cute girls eating scones. It was fun for the first episode, got dull by the second, and the following 10 were a hell of waiting for things to improve.
Interleaved are random action scenes by an inquisition that do not pay off at all. I am not sure there is going to be a sequel but I am not watching it.
Don't waste your time with this, go watch Lucky star instead.
Also I ... loved Puri:Kone and thought this was gonna be the same vibes, but it wasn't.

This anime is so bad.
Let me tell you something. I'm a completionist. I finish every single anime I start. But I couldn't go past episode 4 of this shitshow.
This is so bad in so many ways.
People in other reviews focused on the anal penetration aspect of the anime and singled it out as the worst part. I won't even go into that, let's just assume that's a normal way of doing things and, from what I know about Japanese culture, the implications aren't as sexual as they may be interpreted to be (think of kancho, which is played by kids).

However, even after removing that, ... this anime is so bad. The plot is extremely formulaic and repetitive, with the same sequences and songs appearing in every episode, and each plot being only slightly different from the previous one. This anime feels barely less repetitive than watching Dora the Explorer.

I do not recommend this anime for anyone. Ever. The only palatable aspect is the animation is cute, but you can get that from watching the first episode, or a poster, or a trailer and then just switch to the next show in your list.
