I'll be honest Aku no Hana was VERY overhyped and I was expecting a lot more. Nevertheless, the story isn't that bad.
I read Chi no Wadachi by Shuzo Oshimi, the same author, and it was spectacular. It kinda puzzles me that Aku no Hana is more popular than CNW, since I find the art in CNW and the story 10x better.
The story was very confusing for me at first, I didn't understand why anything was happening and it was a pain to read, but around the end, everything kinda comes together neatly.

Honestly, it was amazing until the filler chapters. The story was progressing smoothly and consistently, then suddenly there was 20 something fillers and the main story never really picked up after that. The ending was mediocre, there was a lot of loose ends and a lot more the author could've done. Despite that, the characters are easy to fall in love with and the story itself is cute overall. I got hooked pretty quick and binged the entire thing in a few days. Kinda frustrates me cause I was so hooked and didn't really get the ending / answers I wanted. I still recommend it
