Konosuba season 2!!! Yay!! I was really happy when this was announced last year. I had high hopes that it would be funnier than the first season. Well…I was kinda disappointed.
I still enjoyed and laugh at all the jokes, believe me. I even rewatched some epic funny moments just to make me laugh. But the thing is, it gets old and boring. The more I watch this series, the more I find it stagnant and repetitive. It’s like the plot was not moving forward, at all. Everything was like compensated through the use of comedy which was only okay on the surface level.
At least, I
...
did saw some character depth. I got to know more about Darkness and Megumin. I even learnt more stuff about Aqua’s goddess powers. But character development….nah. They are still the same since season 1. Well, I think they become worse.
The art style was indeed sloppier than on previous season. It’s like the studio didn’t give a damn about how they’ll look like as long as it will be funny. Indeed, it definitely added more flavor to the comedy that was already present in the series. I do hope that when the season 3 comes, thing would get moving while still maintaining the right amount of comedy & hilariousness that made Konosuba different from other Isekai animes.

I didn’t expect that I would enjoy this anime last winter. It had a unique premise, and the main characters were consists of 1 kid and 1 old man. Totally different from the norm. The storytelling was done really well, even the pacing flowed smoothly through out the series. It had a nice blend of action, comedy, drama and slice-of-life. The animation was rather unique compared to other anime released last winter, but it fits well with the story. The characters were well fleshed out. You’ll even like the suppose antagonists of the story. Indeed, a must watch if you want to relax and enjoy

a good anime with a solid story.

This is indeed a stupid show. I repeat, a really stupid show. But boy, I was enjoying every minute of it. I laughed and face palmed myself multiple times until the very end. It was that stupid. I feel sorry for the other characters especially A-kun for enduring all those years as Yoshiko’s childhood friend. R.I.P. A-kun’s childhood.
It was nice to watch this kind of shows from time to time. A show that doesn’t make you think, but only makes you laugh because of the absurdity of some scenes. Even if the anime was only 12 minutes long, the effect of the stupid comedy brought
...
by the series was tremendous. Even now, remembering some scenes from the series still gives me a chuckle. I’m definitely satisfied with this series, from how it started up to how it ended. It definitely brightened my summer anime watching.
That is all.

For a cutesy lookin’ anime, this surely is hella realistic. Now I understand the hype.
Aggressive Retsuko, or widely known as Aggretsuko, became the talk of the town around last month after its release because of its theme and quite unique art. Definitely if you see this kind of character design you would think this anime is for kids. Uh, nope, definitely not. Its actually for the adults. The themes of this anime focused more on topics where adults could relate, and this contrast is amazing.
The story flowed really well. The pacing was consistent and it was enjoyable to watch. The anime starts off with Retsuko,
...
a fresh grad, was so happy to start a new chapter of life, immediately shift to the present day version of her lazily trying to get ready to go to work. Even from those first few minutes, I already get the feeling that this anime is so going to hit me with so deep reality punches, I dunno if I’m ready for it. And it did. From irritating boss to stressful workplace, it was heavy. No wonder she sings her lungs out in the karaoke. Retsuko deserves a break.
The characters in this anime are quite diverse. I really like how realistic the characters are. Aggretsuko wasn’t scared to display really horrible side of the characters. Even though they were horrible to some extent, I understand why they are like that. The anime, as much as possible, tried to give the important supporting characters a spotlight to let us, the viewers, known and understand their POV. You can’t help but not to hate them. Its one of the reasons I like this series.
Now, for the main character. Retsuko is quite relatable. Ah, not just relatable. I have similar traits with her. She’s the type of person who likes to not say anything, just accept everything, and avoid hassle. Those traits made her the target in her work place. I feel sorry for her, but at the same time, I think its her fault why she’s in that position. Even though I say that I’m similar to her, I don’t think I would last in her workplace without going to the HR. Yes, HR. There’s a section in HR that handles employee relations. Sigh. It just shows how different the work culture in Japan is.
I already mentioned above that the art of Aggretsuko looks too much for kids, but its not. This anime was produced by Sanrio, so yeah, for the sake of merchs, I guess. Still, the character design is quite eye-catching. The animation looks so smooth too. It is quite different from the usual that we always see nowadays. I really like it.
Overall, Aggretsuko was a surprise. I didn’t expect this anime would be this good. The anime had a weird premise and yet, intriguing too. I really enjoyed watching this one. Its fun, and relatable too. Getting on the hype train was definitely a good choice. I definitely recommend this to everyone.
Thanks for reading!!

Oh my. You have no idea how many times I died watching this series. Its tooooo cute! Its tooo moe!! I FREAKIN’ LOVE IT!!!
Acchi Kocchi was indeed a shocker. The story follows the everyday life of Tsumiki and her very dense yet really kind crush, Io, along with their fellow classmates and peers. This anime is a simple highschool anime that has slice-of-life, comedy, a bit of romance & a gallon full of cuteness under its belt. I was expecting this to be the typical ones that we usually see nowadays, but oh boy I’m wrong. The level of comedy in this anime doesn’t reach
...
the heights of Konosuba or Monthly Girl’s Nozaki-kun, but its more subtle and easy to digest on. What made it funny is the fact that their jokes were really mundane and it could definitely happen in real life, insert the slice-of-life elements of the series. They do exaggerate the reactions to the circumstances, still, the level of relatability is sky high. Well, this is just my opinion though.
What made this series really fun to watch was the characters and their cutene–I mean…their interactions with each other. They are definitely highschool kids, they act like one, they enjoy their school life like one. Except for the ‘simple’ traits like Tsumiki’s cat-like appearance or Mayoi’s prowess in technology, all the characters are very close to a human beings in real life. I really want to point out how amazing the relationships of the characters are with one another. Each one of them compliments and even counteract conversations and arguments with one another. I LOVE THAT. I can’t help but smile in everything they do.
Another thing that made me really really like this series is the fact that THEY ARE FREAKIN’ CUTE!!! AND MOE!! Oh Mhay Ghad!!! This series is ssooooooo ccccuuuutttteee! Damn, I’m getting diabetes watching this show. Theart & animation is soooo my type. I really really like the art of the series, its so consistent and the color palette all through out the series was soothing in the eyes. It never bored me. The animation though. Dunno if its because my copy is a BD but damn its soooooo consistent and rich…I can’t. The animation could go head to head with any animes in the same genre, and damn Acchi Kocchi would still win. Its that gooooooooddddd.
The music & sound is also cute very fitting to the series. The OP was sung by the casts. I am not much of a fun of songs like this (sang by the casts) but damn this OP sure is hella cute, but I am also sure I don’t want this to be on repeat on my phone. The ED was…cute…but not my type of ED song.
Overall, this series gave me life. The level of cuteness, and lightheartedness could give anyone a disease. A disease of happiness…for days. Its a must watch on my book. This anime is recommended to people who likes to watch animes with the elements of moe, school theme, slice-of-life, subtle comedy, and a pinch of romance. This anime doesn’t disappoint.
Anyway, that is all folks.
Thanks for reading!!

Hhhmmm…to be honest here, I’m pretty disappointed with this movie. Like, really? The first half of the series was a recap of the series. wut?
Why?
WHY?
I don’t need any recap. I just wanted a sequel to the series.
And what do I get? 40 minutes of original content. Only 40 minutes. It felt like a 2-episode arc on a series. WTF man. If I had watched this on theatres, I might’ve rant so crazy.
...
Sigh.
After the recap, of course, I was expecting to be blown away by the main premise of the story but I got the opposite. True, I would admit the main story of the movie was interesting, but it was wasted. It was too rush, and there was so many things going on I sometimes can’t even follow anymore. I also had so many many questions left unanswered. After the movie, I was dumbfounded, bruh.
It feels like there is a big big time gap between the series (as seen in the recap) and the main story of the movie. Like, why was the wheelchair girl regain her freakin’ legs?!?! That was totally random!! Who is this little shrine maiden girl?!?! Was there an untold alliance between the black & red faction?!?! What!?!?!? and many many more.
As a fan of the series (I haven’t read the light novel), this movie was a total disappointed. I cannot fathom how much I dislike watching this movie.
I think the only good thing I could compliment about this series was the art & animation. Well, its freakin’ Sunrise production movie, its always good. The fight scenes was visually appealing. That’s the only positive thing I could say.
Overall, this anime movie was a disappointment. I’m not really sure if this premise can be found in the light novels, if it is, this movie was then for the fans of the light novels and not much on the anime fans (like me T_T ).
I am still hoping for a proper sequel to the series.
Thanks for reading.
That is all.

ACCA was an anime released last year, Winter season. When I first read the plot of the story, I was kinda hesitant. I find it quite boring and too ‘serious’ for my liking (at that time). I thought to myself that this anime would be better if I binge-watch it when I’m in a mood for a ‘relaxing’ and ‘lazy’ animes. Infairness, I was right.
This anime was indeed a surprise. I didn’t expect I would like this show. I enjoyed watching this anime without worries. Just sitting back, relaxing on my chair and eating snacks. It was that laid-back. The last time I watched an
...
anime that gave me this kind of feels was flying witch anime. It’s been awhile. Everything about this anime was done right. From the story to the music, I have no complaints, only compliments. But I still try to find some faults, at least.
The story was solid from start to finish. Excellent writing. It felt like each conversation was really important, I can’t skip even one. At the same time, I’m not stressed thinking about the story. It was paced well, watching the series made me feel like I was watching a really really good old classic western movie. The ending satisfied my soul, it was executed really well. The world building of the story was also laid out in a way that its not drowning the viewers with too much information. I think one of the flaws of the story would be the slow and tone-down pacing in the first few episodes. It wasn’t for everyone, that’s why there were some people who dropped this series right off the bat. But still, the story and how it was build-up were definitely one of the strong factors of this series.
To be honest, I didn’t expect this series would have quite a lot of characters. Cuz they were too many of them, I couldn’t memorise all their names. I only recognise each of them by their distinct look. The character designer did really well in making sure each one of them are unique from each other. But even with this unique qualities, most of the characters suffered a lot in the character development area. I think only the ‘important’ characters got the right amount of character development, but the others…..nah. It was either not worthy of sharing or not relevant in the story. Still, each one of them were likeable at to some extent. And oh, Lotta is best little sister. I want a sister like her.
I already mentioned above about how well-drawn each character of the anime. Even though most of them looks like each other, they were still unique. The art style was really unique. It felt like I had seen them before but I can’t pinpoint what or when. The art definitely contribute in giving off the vibe of a western classic movie. Let us not forget the animation. It was really good. Like the art, the animation was done well. As expected from Madhouse studio. Even though they had been on decline lately, they still continue to blow my mind with a really really good release. The animation was like no other. It fitted well with the atmosphere and tone of the series. I have no complaints.
The music and sound were absolutely fantastic. I had heard quite a lot of praises with the OP song, after hearing it myself, Dang, it was good. It was so good, I even have the song right now on repeat on my phone. It was so catchy yet laidback. Very groovy but also smooth in the ears. I had eargasms every time I start a new episode. The ED was really good too, but it didn’t liven up to the standards of the OP. I wasn’t able to listen well to the sound in the background. I was too relax and focus on the story, I forgot to notice the music in the background. Dunno if what i did was a bad thing or a good thing. Lol.
Anyway.
Overall, this series was solid as rock. It was a really amazing experience, watching this series. Definitely a must binge-watch.
That is all.
Thanks for reading.

3D Kanojo Real Girl was originally a shoujo manga that is fairly famous in Japan, I think that’s the reason why it got adapted. I never got a chance to read it’s manga, but it is on my bookmarks. I still haven’t figured out the reason why I went back and watch this, but atleast I did get to enjoy the later half of the series.
The plot was simple. An otaku guy, who’s really awkward to everyone and has only 1 friend, happens to meet a hot and beautiful girl and for some point they become a couple. That’s like every otaku’s dream romance, which
...
made this series very generic as this plot is quite common but in a different setting. I think it was the progression of their story that made this series different from any other show I had seen. The problems the characters’ faced were quite realistic and relatable, which made this series really engaging and intriguing. I think that’s why the manga is quite liked by alot of people.
But the problem with this series is the inconsistent pacing and the abrupt ending of the series. There were times I feel the series was dragging the problem too much and other times, it was too fast. It was a hassle to watch cuz it made some parts of the series boring to watch. And yes, the last episode, WTF was that? It just…end. Also, introducing another character that seemed to be really important at the last episode made me have alot of questions in my mind. I know that this series will have a sequel, but bruh, at least end the season properly.
Now for the characters. I have a love-hate relationship with the lead characters. There are times I feel them and there were times I want to smack their heads and get their act together. Sigh. But the thing is, the stuff I hated about the lead characters were the stuff I liked about them. All of the characters here in this series were not just your typical 2D characters in a series, they have different sides of themselves, good and bad, that made them alot more human and relatable. Tsutsui Hikari is an awkward otaku, yes, but he is also really caring and kind to the people he cares about, and really really oblivious to his surroundings. With those traits of his, you would understand better the decisions and actions he made. Even with Igarashi Iroha, she’s a mysterious girl at the very beginning. But seeing her real and true self later in the series made me like her and understand her. I still do wanna smack their heads, but yeah, I can’t blame them.
Now, compared to the lead characters, I felt that I need more time with the supporting characters. Because the story was so focus on the lead characters, the growth of the supporting characters were either abrupt or really slow. I do hope to see them grow more in the 2nd season.
Let me say this first, I HATE THE ART AND ANIMATION. There, I said it.
I think I mentioned above that the original is a manga and I bookmarked it on my reader. The reason why I have it on my bookmarks was because of its art. I really like the artstyle of the mangaka. It wasn’t unique of anything, but it was interesting and refreshing to me. But the anime version was….BORING. I don’t like it at all. It didn’t followed the art from the manga, the animation is really bad. Everything is bad. It was really disappointing.
Okay, maybe I’m too harsh in judging the character design and all, but the animation. Uuuggghhhh,..it would have been nice if they put a bit of effort to it. It was too stiff and rigid. I think the only positive point i could give would be the sequence of the shots and scenes. That’s all.
Overall, the series was okay. It was a good watch but it was nothing amazing. I do recommend this to people who wanna watch some otaku-related romance. I’m also looking forward to its next season and the live-action movie.
That’s all for now, thanks for reading!!

This anime was a weird one. Most people dropped this series early on, not me. Lel. I saw potential.
Every episode was done by a different director, so each episode presented a different approach in telling the story. Every week was a different experience. It was fun and unique.
I really like how the series ended. It was unexpected but good. Though I still have some questions left, I’m not that disappointed that they were not answered. Dunno why. Hhhhmmmm… I think its part of the charm of the series, I guess. You just let it be. It’s an anime after all, anything can happen. XD
This anime
...
is definitely not for everyone. But I do recommend this to people who likes to watch unique animes and people who likes to watch something different for a change.
