while this show has amazing character writing, great world building, stunning visuals and a compelling storyline, the consistent theme of child sexualisation is kinda unnerving. most people who have watched anime for a long time can usually turn a blind eye to the more questionable themes in anime, since child sexualisation is a major and ongoing problem in anime, but mushoku tensei does take it quite far. it can be argued that the protagonist is intentionally a majorly flawed and scummy individual and has never been presented to be otherwise (as such, why should he be different since he has been reincarnated). however, it also

must be taken into consideration that the show does tend to present his scummy behaviours in a humorous light, therefore unintentionally validating them. this, of course, was probably not the intention of the creator, but it is media and if that's how it comes across, that's how it will be received.
all in all, as great as this show is in every other aspect, it is EXTREMELY morally grey, and that is putting it insanely lightly. if you are willing to bare through the child sexualisation to try and enjoy the show and its core meaning, then i recommend it, because take away the pedophilia and this show would easily be a 10/10. however, if you are unable to (which is completely understandable as this show does arguably justify borderline pedophilia), then definitely a hard pass.
