Kuroko No Basket, a show that introduces to us the means in character development. We are introduced to a young, and silent boy named Kuroko. Amongst the 5 peers on his middle school basketball team, he becomes what fans recognize him as, "a shadow". The players on his team, who can later be recognized as, "The Generation of Miracles", learn the talent they have, which enables them to surpass anyone in Tokyo. Knowing of their true, and talented skills, they separate to become even greater at basketball when they are divided into different high schools. As Kuroko is left to

be known as, "the phantom sixth player", he is determined to make a name for himself amongst those who pushed him aside. He later joins a basketball team called, "Seirin", which we can later recognize as the protagonist team in the storyline. As we cheer on Kuroko, and the team Seirin, along with characters we learn to love, such as Kagami, Junpei, & Kiyoshi (along with others on Team Seirin as well), we learn just how each and every character has true purpose, and potential, in order to conquer and overcome the obstacles that they must face against the un-defeated Generation of Miracles. The show not only shows battles against other teams, but it shows battles against themselves, which gives this story such amazing focus on character development.
The show itself is absolutely fantastic. It's a high guarantee that if you watch an anime, most of the time it tends to focus off of each and every character they introduce. Most animes lack this, for when it comes to storyline, chances are the story itself will forget one or two characters in the process. Kuroko No Basket gives each and every character a significant purpose; this element in the story telling is a key to making a successful anime. We feel for each and every protagonist, and even when you wouldn't think so, it gives us feelings for antagonists as well. The story and plot is outstanding, proving it's not just "some typical high school anime with a sports team". It truly has meaning, and I am proud to say this is one of my favorites of all time.
