I just can't convince myself to change this, it had a huge impact on me and my anime taste. Totally have seen better animes but this will forever be my favourite. Wouldn't have made friends with my best friend without it.

The most artful anime I've ever seen, great theme song and crazy take on post death judgement.

This one was hard because my top 2 have been cemented for so long. It's hard to ignore my other favorites, of which there are so many. But if we stick to one I'd recommend anyone, even non-anime enjoyers, it'd have to be the heartbreak that is banana fish. I've had my heart broken by a lot of animes, but none have lasted this long or been this hard. Amazing style and story and a realistic ending not often found in any show. Without rewatching I'll remember this one vividly for decades.
