Mixed Feelings
The pace is very slice-of-lifey, so it's hard to get absorbed into it if you don't have the best attention span. That said, the characters make it worth-while since they're unique and realistic. I haven't really seen some of the conflicts before portrayed in anime in the same way, and it feels like a lot of this show can be summed up as "not everyone is as they appear." A lot of the more trope-like characters often have hidden details making them more complex. The plot is pretty standard for a slice-of-life school anime, but the characters push this anime to an 8 for me.

Mob is like supernatural psychic Saitama (from one punch man) except he barely realizes he has crazy powers. A lot of the characters are really unique and fun to watch. You have Reigen who is a lovable scam artist and the brother who gets a lot of characterization towards the end of the first season. There are also some really funny recurring characters. However, this show isn't all comedy. A lot of the action scenes are stupidly good. The overall art aesthetic almost reminds me of old-school anime like the original Naruto, but in a good way. Just as a heads up, I haven't read the manga or watched the original, but I still enjoyed the remake overall. Kino's journey is a very beautiful and relaxing anime that is imaginative in how it creates its setting and characters. The main overall problem in Kino's Journey is that all the characters are either black or white. Either they have open minds like Kino and the main characters or are ideological zealots of their country. You rarely find characters that disagree with their country's viewpoint, or a country with a pluralistic ideology, so a lot of the countries felt unrealistic or exaggerated, like a ...
