This work is all show and not tell. Meanings are left to the viewer to fill. This is why Devilman is a masterpiece. Each viewer will come away with their own personal beliefs, beliefs about humanity, and their own answers. Those answers a reflection of their worldview. What they see in others is what they think they know. Their reflection of their own empathy.

Who are demons? Who are Devilmen? What is humanity? The reason for war and killing? The baton? Who am I in this world? Who in my life is what? The ideals we hold on others and ourselves. Pure and impure.

As someone who has been in the wasteland creating a fan-made game and other projects. Shoujo-tachi wa Kouya wo Mezasu hit it out of the ballpark in its symbolic depiction of the difficulty in doing that.

Making a doujin game. Gathering talent, keeping talent, and making sure all the talent works. Look at all the failed Kickstarters to get an idea at how hard that is. The main female lead speaks from a place of experience. There's a lot of real world advice compressed into the story.

The characters are rather distinct from each other. A bit archetypal but fleshed out. Strong egos. Friction. Hidden motivations. Procrastination. ...
