I know. I know they're VERY different stories, but let me guide you to "why you should watch this both shows". Even when Code Geass is somewhat futuristic (with all the mecha stuff) and Arslan Senki have this pseudo-medieval environment, they share some points. First, both are about "regaining the power". Arslan trying to regain his kingdom, Lelouch trying to be the emperor. Both are sons of leaders of some place. But I think, with some decisions, you could say that Arslan is more like Suzaku, and that silver-masked guy is like Lelouch. Of course, they're not the same, but you get what I say, right? On the other hand, I found the OP and ED style a LOT like Code Geass' OP & ED as well. And yeah, they have that "chilhood friends" confrontation when they grow up, but I cannot say more! So, if you enjoyed the estrategy, plot twists and tense situations of Code Geass, you gonna like Arslan Senki as much as I did!

Arslan Senki (TV)

Watching Arslan Senki I found some similarities with SnK, even when they're very different stories. Both start with a teller that explains what's happening or happened in the past. Both have a fantasy place when the story happens, and a fantasy year, and most of the chapters start telling you what date is it. Both have a lot of strategy and on-horse action and battles. Both made me feel the same feeling, maybe because of the landscapes, the music, or the style itself. Battles, blood and people fighting for a best future. So, even if Shingeki is about titans and Arslan is about recovering a kingdom, you might like both just like me.

When I was watching the first episode of SAO it reminded me a lot of Mirai Nikki. Both shows have the same feeling, that kind of feeling of deep that you can't die if you want to win the game... and you HAVE TO WIN THE GAME to survive. While Mirai Nikki is more GORE and realistic, SAO has more "fantasy-world" stuff, like sword fights, experience points after a battle, and more game-like things. Of course, if you already watched Mirai Nikki, you'll like SAO... and if you didn't, what are you waiting for? These shows are amazing!

- Both shows have the same feeling - Colourful style - Same kind of humor - Heartwarming atmosphere - Both have two same seiyuus! (Chizuru/Haru - Yuuta/Natsuki) - Both are the daily life of highschool friends The principal difference between both is that "Tsuritama" has the alien stuff, while "Kimi to Boku." hasn't.

- Both shows have a very special humor - "Sea" stuff (fishing in Tsuritama / Jellyfishes in Kuragehime) - Some dramatic scenes so heartwarming - Same colorful style While Tsuritama is like an everyday life of four friends with some sort of alien stuff in the middle, Kuragehime is more like a josei comedy concentrated in romance and wishes to fulfil. So, if you want to laugh (and sometimes cry) with an unique story full of colour I recommend both shows! And of course, if you already watched Kuragehime you'll love Tsuritama.

I can't believe anybody made this recommendation! xD Both shows are different in some ways, but they have so much in common: - Main characters enter in a "paralel world" and fight against strange beings - In "that world" the atmosphere is darker and have this psicologic thing in the air xD - If someone dies in the other side, die in the real world - Main characters "summon" things, like personas (Persona 4) or huge weapons (Madoka) - Some "contract" stuff - Great music So, I guess if you watched or played Persona 4, you'll like Madoka Magica ;D

At least in the chapters 0 and 2 of "Boku wa Tomodachi..." the fanaticism for games (specially visual novels), and how the character gets into the unreality world remind me a lot at "KamiNomi"!

The art is similar and both have many things is common. The constant fighting between Yozora and Sena remind me a lot to Kirino and Kuroneko (and the personalities are also similar, as the fanaticism that Kirino and Sena have for the eroge). In short, if you like "OreImo" you'll like "Boku wa Tomodachi..." as well.

In both the main character is a kind of "genius" with great ability to handle difficult situations: resolving unsolvable puzzles (Phi Brain) or build real-time strategy (Code Geass). In both the main character deals with someone in closing a "contract" and gives him an "eye-power": C.C. gives to Lelouch the Geass in his left eye and when it's activated it turns red (Code Geass); Something like this happens to Kaito when he solves a puzzle and the prize was a kind of bracelet with the power of make Kaito's brain works to max of levels, and when it's activated his right eye turns red too.

When I saw the episode 0 of "Boku wa Tomodachi ..." reminded me a lot to "OreImo". Perhaps because there are "girls gamers", and art is a bit like, not counting the confrontation between the two heroines: Sena / Yozora (Boku wa Tomodachi) and Kirino / Kuroneko (OreImo) So, if you liked "OreImo" you'll probably like "Boku wa Tomodachi ...".
