Olá, moço.
Não estou assistindo dublado em português, na realidade, estou assistindo por uma versão em inglês e está muito boa. Aconselho o que você se sentir mais confortável em assistir. :)
I just noticed you're watching FLCL. That OVA ranks one of my favorite anime and felt particularly special in my adolescence (Feels weird to be saying that, even though I'll be 21 in about 5 months). Before I watched that and Cowboy Bebop on [adult swim] in 2011, my Saturday nights were just more online gaming sessions that lasted until morning.
I can understand your opinion on the GiTS movie, though. Everyone except Major Kusanagi is underdeveloped and seems bland. The only thing I liked was the dark tone.
Thankfully, the TV series (Ghost in the Shell:Stand Alone Complex) is more engaging and adds some personality and history to the main characters. I'm actually enjoyimg the 2nd season so far.
That actually described my experience with Serial Experiments Lain. For a long while, I often found something new every time I rewatched it. Sadly, I think I've connected most of the dots with SEL :P
But now I've just re-listened to Abbey Road, I found that the whole tracklist is great (even the goofy numbers like "Octopus' Garden" and "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window". "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" is also enjoyable, if not darky humorous).
Unfortunately, I think "Something" is a little less enjoyable when you consider that it's a song that is often overplayed (at least where I'm at) on the classic rock station. It wouldn't hurt if they played more songs from Sgt. Pepper, Harrison's classic "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" or even one of my favorites from the Rubber Soul album, "Nowhere Man"
I really like the evangelion manga. There were some changes that it made that I really enjoyed and it also went into more detail with other things. I do have some problems with it, especially the ending, which keeps it from being as good as NGE+EOE.
-Abbey Road was a great send-off for The Beatles (and IMO, a far better album than the "White Album"). Can't think of any favorite songs other than "Here Comes The Sun", though
-If you asked me a few years ago, you would hear nothing but fanboy gushing. However, since I rewatched the series (with the perspective of an outsider, my grandfather) in 2013, I have found that the psychological aspect of the show starts to get in the way of the more interesting, "My cold-hearted dad is trying to become God" plot.
Yes, Shinji, we know you have abandonment issues and depression, but can't someone take this kid to therapy already? (Asuka could have used some after ep. 22) I can understand that the show wouldn't have been as famous without the psychological aspect, but I have seen other anime that have executed this better.
I believe part of my blind fanboyism in 2012 came from being able to relate to Shinji, from having depression and the recent loss of a parent.
The series did have good concepts with the mechs, though, with the controls of the EVAs hinging on the pilot's mental condition and whatnot.

NGE high five, indeed.
