Really not much to say about this.
An extra, self-contained episode focusing on Kasumi and tanpopo. It's nothing amazing, but it's enjoyable. It has all the quality of the main series, except it had a bit more humour and action(which makes sense considering it's a standalone episode) I disagree with the reviewer who said it's better than the main series. I'd say this episode was nice, but a bit lower quality than the main series ones. On that note, I was sort of disappointed it didn't tie into the story at all or add much characterisation.
Anyways, if you liked WCW, I'd recommend watching this.

GJ-BU@ is essentially two episodes packaged together.
The first episode deals with them in new york. I enjoyed it, but it sort of felt like a waste considering they contained themselves to the classroom. I know it's not like this is the first time it's happened (remember the school festival they didn't actually show?), but I still sort of wish it showed them going out and sightseeing. The second is both funny and a bit more serious. It showed the potential GJ-BU had as a non-comedy series. This makes me wonder something; why didn't they expand the story or characters more in the parent series? They've ... Feb 23, 2018
This is a comedic series about a trap.
Not too much to say about it. It's sort of one dimensional in that most episodes are basically about hime being exposed or embarassed about being a trap. Still, they are pulled off well enough to be enjoyable. There are other jokes as well, but they're not the main focus; they're more witty one-liner type ones. Also, there's a decent amount of trap fanservice if you're into that. First time I've ever seen panty shots of guy's bulges. I think this anime would get a lower score, but I haven't seen much stuff about traps, so that gives ... Feb 17, 2018

First episode is very solid, 10/10. This is exactly what I had hoped to see in the main series. Shiki would've been so much better if it was like this throughout the anime. It focuses on the characterisation of Nao. The second episode is not as good, I feel like it would've been much better if everything was fleshed out over 2 episodes. There were some holes in the story because things happened too fast. Still, it does explain things that happened in the main series. Also fleshes out a character(well, 2 I guess). I'd say 7/10 for that. As a whole,

S2's focus is not on running around collecting the remains, but rather what comes after that. S2 sets up the conclusion very nicely. It's a nice change of pace. For the most part, the plot was told well. It also focuses on more than just Chaika and friends.
As for it's issues, there are too many underdeveloped characters. This is a very big, glaring problem. It feels like some characters got ignored or even screwed over. Akari, for example, pretty much got no characterisation. Character are tied to the plot to an extent, so this hurts that in turn. Particularly in the last 2 or 3 episodes. ... Sep 1, 2017

This is a chibi style series of comedy specials for Akame ga kill. The series generally follows the main story. For example, episode 14 in the main series is about esdeath and tatsumi. Episode 14 in this series is also about esdeath and tatsumi.
It does it's job sufficiently. Not hilarious, but they were amusing enough. If you liked the main series and want to see more akame ga kill, I'd recommend watching it. The last 2 episodes aren't funny, but touching. In fact, I was going to give this a 6, but the last 2 episodes bumped this to a 7. I only have two ... |
