Konosuba is my favourite comedy anime, and probably the only one that actually makes me laugh. A great parody of the isekai genre, which is a genre I'm not usually a fan of, that perfectly portrays stereotypical characters in an entertaining way.
The visuals in Konosuba are incredible. The colours, characters and environments are drawn perfectly, especially in the fight scenes. While the sound design tends to fall a little flat, the music is very good.
It's hard not to enjoy this. I've rewatched it a few times and might do it again. I couldn't think of many people not to recommend this to, unless you're

Serial Experiments Lain
(Anime)
add
Serial Experiments Lain is a very intriguing series. Despite my many re-watches, and the help of many others, there's still more I'm finding out about. There's so much to look into because of how confusing (in a good way) the story is
The story, despite being cryptic, is wonderful. If you can decipher what's going on it's very entertaining and interesting, and for me is one of my favourite stories from any anime. The art has that beautiful late 90's anime aesthetic. A relatively limited colour palette with very appealing environments and characters. The music and sound design is astounding, and even to this day I've ... May 17, 2022
Metsuko ni Yoroshiku
(Manga)
add
Metsuko ni Yoroshiku is a funny read with entertaining characters and wonderful art. I enjoyed every chapter, and it's nice to see a manga that doesn't portray a larger character in a purely negative manner - she's one of my favourite manga characters in general.
The character designs are interesting. While there are a few bland ones, the ones that sick out *really* stick out. It's why I like Akiko so much - she has a unique design and is written and interacted with in a way that involves her weight but doesn't portray it as negative. It's a great manga if you're looking for ... May 17, 2022
Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon
(Manga)
add
Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon is my favourite waifu baiting blatant yuri and loli fetishizing manga, and I still don't like it. It's boring, bland and sells at its boobs and not much else.
The only thing I can enjoy about it is one character and the art. Everything else is duller that white bread. I wouldn't recommend this to anybody who's looking to enjoy reading a story. If you're looking for big boobs and 3 side characters who are more entertaining than the main ones, go for it. That's the only kind of pleasure I could get from it, and there's more people who ... |
