In both animes you have two girls in love with the same boy, and both of them are really splendid! Perhaps one of them a more normal and sweeter girl, and the other one much more energetic and crazy, but both splendid! You would wish that both of them could get the boy they love, and in the end it is a bit difficult to choose which of them is your personal favorite.

Both of them are related to amnesia, with the main character losing all his/her remembrances. Ef is more dramatic, whereas Golden Time mixes comedy and drama in a very good way. Both of them are great in my view. Golden time is much more focused in romance as well.

They are two love stories at high school with similar male main characters. Both boys were born in a rich family but they have a bad relationship with their fathers because their fathers are company managers and they want their sons to inherate the company but the boys prefer to work as photographers. Both boys are living alone because of that. And both girls are from a middle-class family and very cute and sweet, this is her first love for both of them. But Kare First Love is much better, Sakura is too short and the storyline isn't well developed.

Similar atmosphere and characters in both animes. Storyline is a bit different but only a bit and your feelings when you are watching them are very similar. Both of them are very emotional stories with a bit of harem: a boy who is friend of several girls and helps them a lot. I really think that if you liked one of them, you'll definitely have to watch the another one. And if you like high-school stories with romance, fantasy, a bit of mistery, a bit of harem... (and very emotional stories), you should watch both of them.

Both of them are about childhood friends which are almost like brother and sister. But when they have grown up the question is: are their feelings still the same? And both animes are really cute and pure love stories, you really feel happy when you are watching them. If you liked Kimikiss, I think you'll enjoy Lamune, and viceversa.

Similar feelings when you are watching them. When I watched True Tears, I felt that every girl was absolutely splendid, and I felt a quite sad because, of course, only one of them would be able to get the boy who she loved. With Kimikiss I have felt exactly the same. In both animes, you feel a quite sad about one of the girls because at the end you was in love with both of them!; but at the same time, you feel a injection of courage because that girl continues her life with cheerfulness. They are a real teaching about how to behave when you suffer because of love. And on the other hand, you feel also very happy because of the girl whose love won, she is worth a fortune as well! At first, Kimikiss seems very different from True Tears, but when you move forward the anime, you can see the similarities.

Both of them are about first love, with several interlaced love stories. The expression 'uncontrollable feelings' is very important in both of them, it is like the summary of the complete series. Main characters are high-school girls in both animes. Differences: - Hatsukoi is much more echhi, KimiKiss is mainly romantic - Hatsukoi is more comedy
