Thanks for the feedback! Alas, sometimes reading other people's opinions will ruin a show for you, especially if you read it before you watch it. It's kind of why I don't read reviews till after I've seen something in order to form a personal opinion first. But I guess even then it can still drastically change your opinion like in your case. Did you watch After Story too? That was a more interesting case because it's explores some interesting territories not many other anime go into, but I think ultimately, despite moments of brilliance, it's still let down by the same clumsy dramatics.

nah i wish but im just chillin dawgy. not really in an animu mood and i'm waiting for all the airing fall anime season to end so i can marathon it all (mushishi, log horiozn s2, f/s night, etc). tumblr is ballz because of spoilers :p
yeah it always sucks when you get caught up because you have to wait for each chapter to come out. mushishi was really interesting and slow but in a good way. each episode was different so you could watch an episode a week and be fine, i marathoned it in preparation for the second season. i think you'd like it, it seems right up your alley.
a lot of the stuff i've started to read i put on hold because of anime, but yeah i do wanna start reading more. i see you've been reading a shit ton of berserk and vagabond, you love dem swords yo
i agree to an extent but i just don't like the characters at all (besides misato and kaji and ritsuko). i felt like shinjis bitching and his internal dialogue was just overly dramatic. i kinda hated rei in the beginning but then i stopped caring. i liked asuka but not as much as everyone else. and yeah the end of eva was good but it just pissed me off haha idk
