The ending was already predetermined in the original so for me it was expected. But the ending and how the story came to its slow conclusion exceeded my expectation. It was brilliant. I love the ending it was moving and powerful all at the same. Saddening but then its poignant. Yeah Takiko and Uruki's love story was beautifully written. Subtle at its best!

I'm glad you like it as much as I do. Actually I've read the series in its entirety. Story and art-wise its better than the original. Although it isn't as funny. Did you like the ending? I love the ending I think it was absolutely brilliant.
