Yet again, made by the same people that did SAO. This review will contain spoilers so read at your own risk.
Story: Highly generic, unoriginal and cliche all the way through. This show's story was the exact same as Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry which aired at the same time. Read my review about that for in terms of the story. But this one was much more generic and poorly done.
Art: Artwork was the same as SAO, not spectacular or amazing yet not horrible.
Sound: The intro to the show has to be one of my favorites. However that is where it ends. Most of the
...
voice acting makes me regret this show.
Characters: Just like SAO the downfall is the characters. I understand after 12 episodes it is hard to develop good characters. But at the same time, the author could have created characters I actually could struggle to give two fucks about. But no you have two overpowered MC (one male and one female) with absolutely zero chemistry between them. The interactions between them is like watching Brittney Spears in 2007; it is a train wreck waiting to happen yet you still watch.
Enjoyment: While I have seen much worse, I expected something better from the same people that did SAO. Yet at the same time, I should have expected this piece of shit to come out of that studio. A show with so much potential to be very good ends up getting butchered because the studio gives up halfway through. They poorly develop the characters. The story goes off on random ass, useless, pointless tangents that it can't come back from. And of course the MC has to be Captain Save a Hoe, and he can't even redeem himself from that.
When I get around to doing my review for Season 2, expect it to be about the same but more brutal. This show had me at points, when the MC would do something, I would ask myself why is he so stupid? Is this a joke? Let that dumb bitch die. You can't save everyone. Maybe I might die from how terrible this show gets. But that is all season 2.

Yes there was a massive delay with this anime and that did not do it justice. However I describe this show to people as if they took Attack on Titan and Black Bullet and they had a child with the best of both. I have introduced this show to several people and everyone enjoyed it.
Story: Same as Attack on Titan/Black Bullet/mankind on its last leg. Fighting for survival. The plus side is everything is explained, how it happened, why it happened so on and so forth.
Art/Sound: The art style is unique and quite different, however after a few episodes it begins to grow on you.
...
The sound track is quite well done as well. Defiantly a must see.
Characters: When I read the reviews, this comes up as a major flaw, since one of the MC shuts down halfway through the show. But all that did was add realism to the show to me, traumatic events will cause some people to completely stop functioning. I found it to be a redeeming factor instead of a flaw. If you disagree with me, message me and hell I will argue this out with you.
Enjoyment/Overall: I found this show to be a gem, in the shit that has been coming out recently for the genre. The back story is thoroughly explained, the characters actually are developed over 13 episodes. And they actually have some real human emotions in there. Also the artwork and sound track are extremely well done as well. This is a must see if you enjoy the end of the world type anime.

Liked Code Geass? Now imagine the step child kept in the basement and that is Guilty Crown. The story literally mimics Code Geass. And shit like this is what is wrong with the anime industry, they keep recycling the same ideas. Why? Because it makes money. Look at how many end of mankind animes have come out since SNK. Or how many trapped in a VR game since SAO made it popular (Dot Hack Sign started it though).
Story: MC stumbled upon female about to get captured by military. However he gets the Power of the Kings, where he is able to draw out
...
other people's "soul" as a physical manifestation; each with its own usefulness. Then the battle begins to change the country with said new ability. The MC begins to rank people by the usefulness of their soul and yeah....Shit happens and shitty ending.
Art/Sound: When I say the only redeeming quality about this anime is the visual artwork and the musical score, I am not joking. That is why I rated this show a 7 and not lower. One of the best musical scores I have heard in any anime is right here.
Characters: Flawed, one dimensional and pathetic. Watch it and you'll see. Only decent character is the MC at times and how he feels about the female but too bad it goes to hell at the end.
Enjoyment/Overall: Watch this before Code Geass or you'll be disappointed. Good musical score and that right there is the only good thing about this show.

I see how this show earned its 7.5 rating. But at the same time, for as far as this genre goes it deserves a higher rating. Imagine Attack on Titan where they actually explained shit. This review will contain minor spoilers but will not ruin the show for you.
Story: Mankind it on its last leg fighting off literally giant ass bugs. However the only two things that can cause harm to them are (1) a rare metal and (2) female children infected with the virus. Hence why it is very much a harem for the MC.
Art/Sound: The artwork for this anime is visually stunning.
...
When my friends ask for a good harem, this is in my recommendation. The artwork and sound track is very good considering the type of anime it is.
Characters: In 12 episodes, there is only so much character development that can be done. But every character in this show has a role that they successfully fulfill. And you can see them slowly growing over the course of the show but sadly no second season.
Enjoyment/Overall: I describe this show as if they explain what the hell happened in Attack on Titan but as a harem and less dramatic. It is a good show, underrated but good none the less. If you enjoyed this show, watch God Eater next.

After watching this show from start to finish roughly 5 times, here is my review of it. Soul Eater is in my top 5 best anime. If you can make it through the first 3 episodes this show is worth your time.
Story: Weapons and Miesters must collect 99 kieshen souls and a witch soul to become a death scythe. Basic premise but much more happens.
Art/Sound: This show might seem kiddy/PG rated. But it is full of action and a some blood/gore. But what is more impressive is the sound track to this anime. This is also one of the few shows I love watching and
...
listening to the intro to.
Characters: As I said, make it through the first 3 episodes and this show grows on you. The characters are thoroughly developed on both sides as far as the heroes and villains. When first watching it, Black Star and Death the Kid seem annoying as hell but after awhile they both begin to grow on you.
Enjoyment/Overall: After 5 times of watching this show, it is one of my favorites that I love to rewatch. English dubbed, this is one of the best. The show is hilarious and full of action. One of the best done shows that I have watched and I am currently rewatching it. This is a must see for anyone that enjoys anime.

Copied from my review of Season 1.
This is a review for both seasons to fully encompass the show.
First off, I went into this show with LOW expectations. Oh man, I was horribly mistaken. Overall, I give the series an 8.5. For 22 episodes I was just amazed. It has action, it has gore, it has comedy. And furthermore it has a decent story, an amazing musical score and good characters.
Story: Chaika, a female with white hair and purple eyes gathering the remains of the Taboo Emperor. MC, Toru, unemployed, struggling ever since the great war ended 5 years ago. While he is in the
...
mountains picking up edible plants, he runs into Chaika who is horribly lost. But before introductions can be properly made they encounter a unicorn (not the ones from a fairy tale) and are forced to team up to fight it. After everything happens, Chaika offers Toru and his sister employment, to help her gather her father's remains to give him a proper burial.
This story is full of twists and turns, deceit and shock. This is one of the better animes that is horribly dark when you start looking into it.
Art: I thought this anime would be bland, but I was wrong. It has amazing art work, the scenes are very well done.
Sound: First review I have had something to say other than fair; this anime for both seasons has an amazing musical track. This show was carefully crafted and well executed.
Characters: All of the characters are well developed and progressively grow throughout the show. They aren't one dimensional, they don't try to brush everything off. These characters have depth, they are all well connected and intertwined.
Enjoyment/Overall: This show is usually in the top 15 that I recommend. It hit every expectation and then some. I have watched this show roughly 4 times now and it keeps getting better and better. This is an odd ball show with not a lot of fan service but it is a must watch for any anime lover.

Akame ga Kill is the Game of Thrones of anime. This is one of my favorites and usually in the top 5 I recommend to others.
Story: MC and his two childhood friends leave their remote mountain village to the capital to come a soldier to make money for his poor village. However when arriving at the capital, it isn't what it seems. The capital is rotting from the inside and takes advantage of the help a rich family offers him. However during his first night there, Night Raid (a rebel assassination group) attacks, killing everyone but him. During the attack, he finds his
...
two friends, dead/dying and from then on he joins the Night Raid to cleanse the capital of its filth.
Art: This anime is visually attractive, characters are diverse and well done. Fight scenes are amazing.
Sound:Overall well done with no complaints.
Characters: A vast majority of the characters are thoroughly developed. The MC isn't weak due to lack of skill/talent. He fights with all of his might and uses his skills to overpower his enemies. Even the villains are developed and at some points in the story you begin to understand them. Begin to feel their pain and emotions. The characters are one of the strong points of this show.
Enjoyment: I loved this anime. Very well done from start to finish. It is incredible. Not one that I rewatch on a regular basis but when I do, I appreciate it more and more.
Overall: If you consider yourself an anime fan, this is a must watch. It is filled with action, gore, adventure, emotions, comedy and with a right amount of romance. This show has everything I look for in an anime all nicely packaged in 24 episodes.

I started this show under the premise of it being similar to The Devil's a Part-Timer. However, what I got was quite the opposite.
Story: MC was a hero on his way to defeat the devil king, but the devil king was defeated before he could do it. A new era of peace has begun and now he is working at a dead end job. Then new employee comes in and oh yay it is the devil king's daughter. Then blah blah blah, shoot me, blah blah blah. And no one knows what happens.
Art: Fair, nothing great, contains unnecessary nudity with nothing to redeem it.
Sound: ^
...
but with sound
Character: Every episode I watched, more and more I regretted my decision to watch this. The MC isn't bad but there is nothing to redeem him or any of the other characters.
Overall: Don't waste your time with this show. If you want to watch the good version of this stick with the Devil's a Part-Timer

Done by the same people that did SAO so maybe I had high hopes, maybe I have to rewatch it and I might change my mind but this show makes me want to shoot myself for watching it.
Story: It has been a minute since I have watched this but basically a game that is installed allows the user to slow down/stop time by using points, which they get by battling other player's avatars. However once they lose all their points, the game uninstalls itself and the user gets no more benefits from it.
Art: It is good, there is nothing special or great about
...
it.
Sound: English dubbed is terrible, but the show was so bad overall, not worth watching subbed.
Characters: Here is my rant. This show had great potential to be a decent show. But no, they decided to make the worst characters ever. MC is fat, whiny and contributes nothing to the show, however he is granted a rare avatar in the game. Main female character is beautiful, popular and powerful. And of course when a villain finally appears, they are poorly constructed. All of the characters have as much depth as a puddle. Horribly done and that is the downfall of the show.
Enjoyment: Read characters then you'll get my point.
Overall: If I could go back in time I would never watch this show. I hate this show for having potential and then having such poor character development to the point where it ruined the show. Watch at your own risk.
