This anime is so ridiculously funny and I do not understand how more people don’t appreciate or get it.

Maybe it’s because they’re taking the premise too seriously and are expecting a dramatic three-way love story to take place? I don’t know, but that’s not what this show is about.

Kanojo mo Kanojo is an absurd idea of a plot, with characters that constantly make fun of themselves in terms of dialogue and character tropes. It is not at all
meant to be taken seriously, see: comedy tag. And when you go into each episode expecting something just ridiculous and fun, you get a hell of a time. ... It’s one of the shows that’s made me laugh the most this past year. And I’m someone who is normally all for harems and fanservice, but this instead is an amazing comedy wrapped into a surprisingly beautiful animation.

I can’t recommend the show enough, no matter how many weird looks I would get for it.

I’m glad I watched this after all the episodes were out, because if I’m just judging based on episode per episode, it’s boring. I have always loved SAO and the light novels, but this arc is basically just battles. And I didn’t go into this anime expecting only battles and little relationship building. It was hard to know the characters, and it was hard to keep up my engagement. If I were watching live, I probably would’ve dropped it and gotten back to it in a year. That being said, the visuals and sounds are still great. In conclusion, I just find this 12-episode ... season to be a let-down, and I really hope it’s better in the second half.

I genuinely liked watching the anime and binged it. However, I had a huge issue with one of the characters that pissed me off. [spoiler] Akane is a psychopath and to see her get whatever guy she wants,
including Migu, really annoyed me. We saw the main girl get rejected by her love, expecting to start a real relationship with Migu. But nope, even though Migu knows Akane is a psychopath, he thinks her corrupt view is hot and continually has sex with her. That really made me dislike ... his character as a whole.
I know the two main characters are meant to be together at the end, but there should have been better leads up to this. They needed more interaction and affection. I enjoyed the anime and it turned me on but it still bothered me at times-
thus the 8.

I really enjoyed this anime/hentai. It is definitely geared more towards women, and features a romantic-esque story each episode with different characters/settings. The romance for the most part is mutual, so there is no rapey-scenes that make the viewer uncomfortable. It also seems to focus more on the sexual experience of the female characters, as they usually get oral/fingers rather than just penetration. There’s no blood, no sobbing, no fetishes. Overall, it’s fairly vanilla however the art is pretty and the scenes are enjoyable to watch. Usually there’s ~8 minutes of storyline and ~4 minutes of sex per episode.

One thing I will note, though, ... is that all english translations I found were not good. Sometimes lines weren’t translated, others were translated incorrectly, pronouns were misused. This didn’t bother me for the most part and seemed to get a little better as the episodes went on. You’re still able to get the gist of the conversation.

Still one of the best hentais I’ve seen though- less creepy and more realistic!

As a female viewer, I thought this hentai was okay in terms of not overtly treating the women like crap. However, some of the fetishes displayed really grossed me out, personally. I hate seeing any sort of blood during intercourse (not accurate and just disgusting to witness), and the piss/scat stuff really threw me off. That being said... there were some very sexy scenes that made up for a lot of it. I particularly like the threesome in episode 4. I’m a little confused on to why this anime decided to include so many different fetish scenes in one season (I guess to appeal to ... multiple viewing categories?), as it made the storyline less cohesive or realistic as a whole. All in all, the art was good, voice acting great, and storyline okay. Solid 7 for me
