It's a pretty unique anime with a somewhat militaristic feel. It's nice seeing fights that actually utilize positioning and tactics, a pretty good adaptation of game's gameplay.
I feel like Gentiane is a good addition to the story, Shikikan has too big of a role to be a silent protagonist. Even the game realized it later, introducing responses in story, and chibi version of commander in dormitory.
The first episode sets up relationship of Team AR somewhat better than the game, but pacing is a bit too slow. Which is especially bad because Girls Frontline had a pretty average start, and got really good later on.
