So much cuter than I thought it would be, and most of all, had way more focus on the dragon-aspect of things than I expected. When I first started the show, I thought the whole dragon concept was just a detail about their characters and that they wouldn't even dive into it. Well, I was immediately wrong, and I love the involvement of all the dragons.

Initially, I had some issues with Dragon Maid, such as Lucoa and Shouta's relationship, which I still won't defend but I think it can be overlooked by the fact Shouta grew to enjoy Lucoa's presence, and, well, Lucoa cannot help ... the way her body looks! But as I gave the show a watch, I slowly fell in love with this anime. I didn't like Miss Kobayashi's personality at first, but by the last episode, I loved her and Tohru and their chemistry together and found myself feeling a bit emotional by it, and now Kobayashi couldn't imagine her life without Tohru, whereas she was always just used to being alone and content living like that. The anime is heavy on that meaning- how someone so unexpected can enter your life and bring such joy to it, sometimes you're unaware of just how much until something happens that makes you aware of it. It also delves into a statement I respect a lot, which is to NEVER regret the time you spend with somebody, even if it doesn't end up the way you want it to, such as Tohru's life-span being much more than a human's. Her life spent with Kobayashi was one well spent, and much more enjoyed than if they hadn't spent any time together at all.

Kanna has one of the cutest designs and personalities in all of anime, and I really did find myself caring about everyone (except Elma) by the end of season one. I don't usually enjoy Slice of Life much as they tend to bore me, but out of all the anime I've been watching recently, this one gripped me the most. Very wholesome indeed, and great opening and outro songs.

I think Konosuba had a bit more potential. I mainly watched this because I love the character designs and the anime's designs overall look very endearing, it's a light-hearted and easy watch and I was right in predicting that Megumin would be my favorite in the show, she has one of the best anime character designs I've seen and Kazuma is definitely an entertaining and funny character with how ridiculous he finds his female companions, which gave a realistic approach in such a comedic anime, he tells them what I wish I could say.

Despite being a comedy anime, it didn't make me laugh too much ... besides small chuckles in some episodes(Mainly Episode 8 which was my favorite of the first season), I personally found comedies such as Spy X Family much funnier. Despite this, something made me keep watching Konosuba. I didn't go into this wanting to watch a comedy anime, that's not the point of it for me. I think it's because the plot is extremely easy to follow and the characters are interesting enough to be entertained and interested by.
I think the anime could be a little absurd at parts, such as Episode 9 and the OVA Episode 11 being completely fan-service filler which I'd recommend skipping if you're here for a serious watch and not interested in fan-service, neither of these episodes add anything to the plot and had to give the animators an extra job to make the female bodies jiggle as much as possible. I personally found the fan-service annoying in these two episodes(I don't recall it being an issue in previous episodes), and Kazuma felt a bit out of character in the OVA because while previously not being interested in his female companions whatsoever, he was giving them a bunch of sexual tasks to do in front of him. Since when was he interested in them?- however, due to being an OVA I don't consider that episode canon.

I wouldn't recommend the anime for a serious watch at all(obviously), if you want a light-hearted anime with good character designs and something to watch when you're bored, I'd probably recommend it then.
