Kemono jihen actually turned out to be a lot more interesting than i had imagined when starting, i had some hopes for it but not much. The character building throughout the show was nicely done. They seemed to have used the usual character personas however they focused on their relationships and internal battles making them feel "real". Not for many shows can i say that i liked the whole cast.
Akira - The possible trap could get tiring at times. It also seemed to me she put to much enthusiasm / emotion into her voice and it did not fit her body
...
language at all, she could be yelling or crying yet it doesn't feel genuine. Besides for her and that big boobed villain all the characters were nice.
To me the story seems more on the open ended side, focusing on finding kabanes parents while doing side jobs for inugami with general characterization scenes. The series had a darker tone riding along with it but could be just the opposite when it wanted. I found the art style was rather bland. It looked like general animation but with less depth in it. wasn't bad.
I feel this series has only initiated the setup of the story while getting us intrigued in the characters leaving a big window for an epic second season.

what a mess this show was. Everything was pretty subpar from the lacking story, the animation, (not the worst) to even the characters.
Following Yuta's adventure for finding a unknown cure for his immortality and his idiotic choices. Soon after starting he met with his immortal counterpart to adventure with.
whilst in the end, two immortals living together and to maybe grow more friends like them with time, that would not be a bad outcome. Instead Lets continue going town to town finding the most evil women or mermaid (that is right under their thumb) plotting the most evil plan by
...
using mermaid flesh. It was showed / hinted multiple times the mermaids knew not of how to cure immortality peacefully, i mean if he really wanted to die that bad, it's possible.
The plot overall was pointless. Focusing on mundane travels and side stories whilst he tells everyone he meets that he is immortal.
The action scenes were only saved by some of the creative tactics that were used. But it was also unrealistic at time. The time when buddy cut through two metal chains with one, not even a leveraged swing. Or later that episode, they lightly tapped misses restrains with the hatchet then the ropes just fell apart.
The ending episode was horrendous. Consisting of, lets surprise him and bash through the window only to kneel down and console your friend for five minutes, all whilst the kid with the gun gets a good shot...
Next lets watch a bit as he drags his axe to the body and starts chopping his head off, then she decides to jump in and overpower the kid but states "if you kill him, ill come back from hell and kill you" only to pass out on top of the kid soon after. Yes, because almost chopping his head off with the intent to kill wasn't enough to mark him as a threat.
The kid somehow decides to leave them alive even after all the pity attempt's made before but sets fire to the spot as to say he did something. And that just the one scene.
overall: It was a boring watch. No real plot or comedy, just bad drama and interactions. It was easier to watch than other bad series I've seen, until the ending butchered it.

This was a nice OVA, it was mixed with lightheartedness an some comedy whilst they tackled the characters transition back into the regular world. The characters weren't exactly my type but i found it rather mellow with the interactions. The art style seemed unique to me.
I found this as the first listing on the movies and OVA page of aniwatcher and decided to watch it. It turned out to be better than i expected, wouldn't of minded a full on 12 episode series.
I would recommend giving this show a shot, Its only a half hour OVA. you may be surprised.
...
It was worth the watch IMO.

Not a bad watch. Whilst the characters stayed mostly generic, the way the story unfolded captured my attention till the end.
When i first started, i ended up leaving at episode 4 and not coming back for a while, i pretty much forgot what i already watched. However It was easy to catch up and that's when my interest in the show were peaked.
They made a new twist in the isekai genre by making a physical virtual world where robots go to have fun and battle, whilst for some reason unbeknownst to me... the humans live inside the
...
created world with no knowledge of its history. They have fleshed out the world a good bit.
Whilst it stayed interesting throughout the anime. I found myself not one bit devoted to the characters, i wouldn't of cared if any character had died, i think it would have been better for them to not have kept that backup data (and he was my favorite character) and reversed a scene they could have left out for if it wasn't for plot / feels sake. I could have enjoyed the ending more.
On that note, the last episode was pretty shitty IMO. I mean why did she say "Good morning" of all things "telepathically" to Kaburagi at that point?? The final battle was lame. Lets see who can charge their canon the fastest and with the strongest charge? Kaboom! it just didn't show it well. I did like how it implemented showing the replacement games that they play now mixed with how the characters lives turned out.
IN SUMMARY: The characters are not interesting or fleshed out well, it does have its moments but its all generic, especially Natsume. Although she was less annoying compared with characters from other shows and not totally useless. I don't notice the art much on most occasion, it was fine here. Same with the sound, it wasn't annoying. The original plot to the show is what drove it so far and then the ending killed it on me. It's a Nice watch (could get boring), nothing special.

The anime started off interesting, the characters had potential and the animation was unique.
The main characters initially reminded me of a certain style and seemed soothing. As the series went on I found the characters weren't fleshed out very much during the show. At times i found the way they portrayed hanako was un-befitting of his character, they constantly jumped back and forth between slapstick comedy, too much it got annoying and dampened the characters personalities.
I found it pretty decent (some jokes fell flat) till they started exploring the "plot" some more, it focused on the 7 school wonders and comedy
...
for the main part. The show had trouble showing / mixing lightheartedness and darkness with the animation style. I found the art style contrasted with the slapstick comedy, (cause it degraded the art style for the jokes) especially towards the ending.
The art affected the comedy style and threw it off visually, i found the art style was soothing to to eyes, while the comedy was interrupting it every 30 second with high -pitched fast talking slapstick randomness, with a plot that is as clear as day and characters that seem to be following a process, i just could not get into it. Halfway through i stopped finding it funny at all.
What was shown of hanakos back story was intriguing but leaves you in the dark on a lot of things. i found it dull his twin is his biggest enemy, that he just watches him wreck mayhem instead of stepping in to help. Near the end his twin stepped in and stopped the girl from going back to the "good" side, i was wondering why hanako didn't do that himself earlier... you can say he was in shock when he saw his twin, but he had a lot of time to process it from the time they met before.
The ending episode was by the the most annoying, those were gags? the episode felt off altogether and of track until they took the last few minutes to wrap everything up. The second season could be better if the plot takes off and it strays away from the slapstick.

Overall it was just a bland and ordinary movie. The plot felt non-existent and only kicked in about halfway through the series, besides some references. Once the plot started churning it felt random and all off pace. Especially the music compilation that it showed at the most random time which i feel didn't even match the tone of the movie, plus it went on for too long.
I felt the main plot was forced and ended in a cliche manner. It would have been better without it altogether. She was dedicated to saving the world but then at the end the mc says "it doesn't
...
matter, let the world be destroyed" in which she responds "ok..."
The animation was decent, nothing special. The characters are all overused dull versions of others that are all around, they have no real depth to them. I did not enjoy them.
Without the weather premises for the story that they totally bombed, this probably would have passed as 5/10 but instead the end product is this. Just another romance movie milking the genre with "nice" animation and wholesome interactions. Not worth watching IMO.

i watched this over a period of time and wasn't really interested, so my memory of it is vague. the story is of a girl Jiyu or nicknamed Juubee and how she receives this eye patch that harnesses the power to transfer the soul of the historical Juubee.
The comedy is horrible in this, trying to use animation for comedic effect backfired, joke wasn't funny and they just destroyed the animation and mood, not that i was into the mood. Few jokes are actually decent, i noticed that trio of Jiyu fans have a good line now and then, other
...
than that the trio is to cringe-worthy, only their for comedy it feels.
I like her fathers reaction at the end in finding out the secret, seemed realistic, if not overplayed a bit. However then they went ahead and decided, i want to save this person so lets have the spirit they just defeated enter into him so he could defeat the one hes trying to protect in order to free her form the good spirit helping her fight.
"defeat" in this situation would be "kill", which makes it stupid, anyone would realize that's a horrible idea.
Even though he just found out the situation somehow comes up with a ... "plan"... to bring her back, which was just to shout in his mind to her to return to normal form, which somehow meant both the spirits being released as juubei spirit slashed the spirit that was in his body and fixes everything 0 / 10.
couldn't enjoy the action with how little, fast paced and poorly animated it was.
i would add more details if my brain didn't erase the past episodes for more room. ;)

This film brings you on a journey about a girl living through a war period with air raids being a normal occurrence. At first the movie was pretty mundane and boring, while the animation was unique it was also its downfall at times, especially for the characters design imo. i cant get over how the main is suppose to be 18 when she looks 10.
you get your slice of life, getting to know the characters and settings a bit, about halfway through is when the action went down. i am unsure why they are attacking a remote
...
village without discrimination, at times it feels forced, the lighthearted animation along with the dark setting did not give off the right vibe and on the contrary made it feel more fake.
the scene at the end with the little girl felt really forced as if just to bring back emotions and for her to accept it, just randomly stumbles upon the main and starts hugging her.
at times it felt like the characters cared for each, other times it was they couldn't give less of a shit. just after the accident, gets bombarded with chores and how its her fault, no sympathy showed for her during the initial scene, later on concern is showed but after the fact like an after thought.
i get its suppose to show life doesn't stop and you cant expect special treatment, also in a war zone its common thing but let her adjust for a bit she is missing something.
the romance could have been fleshed out better, while some was good their felt like there wasn't a connection. with the ex or whoever it was coming in for a short scene mostly for entertainment / emotional value.
all in all it was a nice movie to watch, i liked the background animation, and also how they mashed the animation to fit the characters emotions at certain scenes. change the character design and the add the right vibe to certain scenes, with more details around the war and it could be a great film.

I remember liking this series when i was a kid, but i stopped halfway through, now i know why. the show has a lot of potential it threw out the window.
STORY: train hearnet is an assassin to chronos, but when he meet up with this random girl and some other sweeper, he decided to abruptly stop being the cold and hardened killer he was, throughout the show it was enforced that he wouldn't even of cared about killing children etc.
but then cause of a couple of words from some sweepers decided to quit the organization and thought
...
he didn't even have to protect himself anymore and even got rid of his gun, by handing to the girl sweeper....
thats when the plot becomes really stupid, some guys with super powers saying he wants a free world but was actually just trying to get rid of chronos, is obsessed with our now kind hearted main, killing the sweeper that train somehow fell in love with in 2 episodes of brief occasions, because he thought she was a witch brainwashing train...
then its about taking out these superpowered disciples of the stars or something which they achieve on like the twentieth episode where another enemy comes out of their ass they have to defeat. chronos and leftovers of disciple of stars team up or something, why not do that in the first place...
dont even get me started on the big flying weird thing that looked like it could destroy the world but didn't even do one thing at the ending.
ART: pretty mundane at times i would notice how bad it looked.
SOUND: I kinda liked the soundtrack, but thats only cause it reminded me of phantom requiem for the phantom at first, over time i stopped noticing the sound.
CHARACTERS: they should have built train up and showed more scenes of him transitioning to the good side, but besides for plot purposes the character were decently fleshed out.
ENJOYMENT: hardly any, first say 10 episode were decent but then it got repetitive mash of plot armor and cliches. that and the battle scenes sucked, yes block 10 bullets with your gun, that's not gonna explode or have the force knock the gun out of your hand. he did say it was made of special materials. but i guess i was expecting something more real like phantom requiem for the phantom.

it was fine, characters were average, graphic weren't great, story or what of a story they had played out decent. i mostly like the "emotional" scenes with comedy added in the background. although how the director kept abusing who i think is the main got on my nerves, especially with how he just accepted it.
ART: very bland, did not suit the time frame it came out in.
STORY: it was just about a radio show getting a robotic announcer to help their show, not much of a plot. few episodic plots that were decent.
CHARACTERS: characters shined, but only at certain time. most times they were written
...
as cliche, the wussy mc who cant do anything, all loving mistake making android, always pissed off abusive director, a writer who gets off on peoples despair ( not focused on much.)
SPOILER: the death scene near the end didn't make me feel a thing, no connection to the character, it was like they didn't need him.
SOUND: i never really notice this enough to judge, all i can say is maicos voice got annoying. apart from that all fine.
ENJOYMENT: i enjoyed some episode, others were fine. not a bad watch but dont expect amazing comedy, story or romance. the comedy is hit or miss, the story is on directional and there is no romance, which i liked, instead of having it focus on the androids love life.
