In both of these anime there is the protagonist who got in a ''game'' kind of without his permission(or without knowing the master's real purpose). In addition, in both of these anime the protagonist wants to find the truth about the situations they are in and want to eliminate the one responsible for it!

Apart from the fact that both anime (ovie the one series the other) have the romantic feature as their main feature they have a very similar way on showing how protagonists deal with situations unknown to them!!! They also have the fact of the unknown for different reason each! I shouldn't say more because it would be a spoiler but in my opinion these both have more similarities than meets the eye!

Re-Kan!

I am making this reccomendation espacially after watching episode 8... well both of these anime have the feature of the after life and although Anohana is much more serious both anime try to make us behave ''cool'' around ghosts and other stuff!!! But you should watch Anohana if you liked especially Re-kan's episode 8(or you generally like Re-kan) and you should watch Anohana after you have watched Re;kan because you will be more ''touched'' about the supernatular feature and you will be more prepared to accept it after you have watched Re-kan!

The music is also somenthing that remimded me of Durarara!...jazz touches and stuff that perfectly fit the anime's scenes!

Well, apart from the fact that the protagonists of both of the anime(Tsukasa and Isla in Plastic Memories-and Jintan and Menma in AnoHana) look like a lot, you would find similarities even with their stories...As yes you are going to laugh, get a cuteness overload, you are going to need for a romantic hug with your significant other while you watch it and much pain and sadness to the end-and no that's not a spoiler because we all see it coming- for BOTH... Get tissues and enjoy the masterpiece of both of these anime...

Although Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken has shorter episodes it has nothing to be jealous of when it comes to comparing it to other comedy anime! It also has the plus that, like Arakawa under the Bridge, it has a story to develop which is rather cute and sweet apart from witty and funny!

Both anime have the supernatural feature very present, and thats their main similarity!(esepcially thats the similarity of both the heroins) Both of them are also hilarious though they have a different kind of humour! They have also the same atmosphere, school and normal Japanese life! Their animation is kinda different-as Kyoukai no Rinne follows Rumiko Takahasi's usual style-but both are fun to watch!!!

Although Hotarubi no Mori e is a movie and Kyoukai no Rinne is a TV series, I noticed that, while I was watching Kyoukai no Rinne, the atmosphere, setting, as well as the story reminded me a lot of Hotarubi no Mori e! In my opinion, if you like Hotarubi no Mori e you are going to like Kyoukai no Rinne and if you likes Kyoukai no Rinne you will find yourself enjoying the atmosphere of Hotarubi no Mori e, although it's not as lighthearted as Kyoukai no Rinne!

The main similarity of these two is the sense of humour! They are not only funny but are the same kind of ''funny''!!! Animation and art is also common in both anime, although the duration of Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken, is a point that everyone mentions and it's diferent from all the other TV series!
