I just finished the entire Initial D anime ( all stages and extras) and i was really surprised with this work, the first reason beeing the fact that i don't like cars and racing that much, and as i started the first episodes i had to keep watching it to the end.
The second reason i was surprised is that it built an interest for me and i researched the technical stuff while watching it and now i know much more about cars and mechanic.
So i watched until the last episode, and now i have a mixed review.

I watched this Anime in it's First Run in my country ( Brazil), in the now extinct TV channel "Manchete", and it really marked my childhood, in a way that, for me still feels like the best fighting style Anime/Manga ever made.
I Re-Watch it every couple years, and everytime, i feel the same sadness when its over. The Story is really well written and flows until the end, not leaving any doubt on the genious work of art it is.
