Ah, Pokemon. Like One Piece, the Pokemon anime will probably never end. In fact, it will probably outlast it, as it doesn't rely on a single author to run the plot.

But the Pokemon anime doesn't always follow Ash. Recently, there's been a notable influx of Pokemon anime that don't follow Ash, but rather, adapt the games. I haven't seen these personally, but I imagine they are really good. They allow for a defined beginning, middle, and end, and when you have a story all planned out, that means that you DON'T have to rely on a weekly animation scedule.

Promare (Anime) add
Take Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. Got it? Now give it the animation quality and animation style of Into-The-Spider-Verse. I've compared those 2 masterpieces to this, you already know you're in for a ride. Now give it neon colors, put it in a movie format: Congrats, you've got Promare.

Even anime I drop I have to give at least a 6, because I can appreciate what it does well. On the other hand, I have not once given an anime any more than a 9. I can always see at least some minor issues. One Punch Man? Predictable. Jojo? Some parts are better than others, and early animation is... passable. One Piece? Too much filler intergrated into the regular episodes. No matter what, even the smallest issues always ...

Black Clover (Anime) add
Preliminary (113/170 eps)
Welp, ready to stir up some controversy. Black Clover is an amazing anime if you get past the mediocre beginning. For the first few arcs, they focused on one character per arc, I'm assuming to make them more memorable? But with characters as amazing as these ones, they're memorable enough to not need an arc all to themselves. That being said, after that, things start to pick up. LIGHT SPOILERS FOR THE REST OF THE PARAGRAPH. The terrorist group, The Eye of Midnight Sun is introduced, and at that point the series ramps it up. Anybody who has watched the show would know what comes ...
