Story:
Basically 13 short little stories based on Japanese urban legends or myths. In my opinon, this season is not as good as season 1, but better than season 2. In season 1, every episode was scary, creepy and/or disturbing. This season was just weird. A few creepy/scary episodes, but most were just gross and/or wierd. Also, in most of them it seems like it's a girl or young woman that is the victim, not sure if that has any significance. The Story Teller is replaced by a young boy drawing while singing a creepy song. The theme of this season seems to be "body horror",
...
which to me personally is less scary than supernatural or psychological horror.
Animation:
The animation is the same as in the 1st two season. It is still done well and is based off of the Japanese paper theatre story tellers. I enjoy the style, even though it isn't anything fancy. I do like the monster designs and I think they are well done for most of them.
Sound:
The sound is still done very well and continues to have a major impact on each episode. The opening song and ending song I had a hard time listening too because it was too creepy.
Characters:
No real comment, because as always, each story has its own characters. I did feel more empathy for the characters in this season though, because, as mentioned before, most of the victims were little girls or young women.
Overall:
I think this season was better than season 2 but worse than season 1. It has still kept me interrested enough to go on to season 4.

Story:
All of humanity is petrified by a strange event. Eventually Senku, who is a scientific genius, and his friend somehow break out of the petrification thousands of years later. Senku's goal is the resurrect the modern world. His friend's goal is to unpetrify the girl he was about to confess to. Along they way, they unpetrify a person who's goals are opposite of theirs, so that causes the creation of the main antagonist. The story then follows Senku trying to acheive his goal.
The story does start out kind of slow too. I liked the 1st episode, but I really did not get into it until
...
about episode 6 or7.
This anime claims to be "science based", but it really isn't. Much of the things that Senku and his group do would not be possible, mostly due to the limitations of resources and material type. But, it is an anime, so a level of unrealism is expected. Overall, the story is enjoyable, so in the end that is what really counts.
Also, this season answers almost zero questions about: What is going on? How it happened? Why it happened? Why Tsukasa has the goals that he has? But, it has a confirmed 2nd season, so hopefully there will be some answers there.
Animation:
The animation is pretty good. It is clear and sharp. They just have this strange habit of making the characters look really strange at random points.
Sounds:
The sound is average. It did not really jump out at me either one way, or the other.
Character:
I think that they did a great job with all the characters. They are all distinct and most of them show growth. Even though I like the show, I could not like Senku. What he was doing was good and he had the ability to do it, but to me, he was super arrogant and annoying. That put me off of him, but I like the other characters.
Overall:
Not one to watch if you think it is going to be "realistic" or "scientific", but it is fun and enjoyable. Worth the watch, I would say.

Story:
I enjoy the story for Ai Yori Aoshi. Basically, a young girl from a rich family is betrothed to a young man from a rich family. She likes him a lot even at such a young age, but he eventually disappears from his family. She goes to try and find him and ends up succeeding. They end up living together in a large house and many of their friends also end up living there. Of course, that are all girls and they all fall for the main male protagonist. The show basically follows their daily lives and the growth of Kaoru's and Aoi's relationship.
Animation:
The animation
...
is nice and bright. I think it looks good and is drawn well.
Sound:
I love the music in this anime, especially the opening song, Towa No Hana, it is very beautiful. I very rarely skipped this song while watching. They also do very well with the music during the episodes.
Characters:
I really enjoyed the characters, there really wasn't any that I disliked. They are all different with different personanlities. The main male protagonist, Kaoru, is a little bit too nice though. I enjoy watching the growth of the love between him and Aoi. Aoi is probably my favorite female protagonist in a harem anime.
I think Aoi gets alot of flak because of her supposed "weakness" about wanting to cook and clean for Kaoru. No one makes fun of Martha Stewart for being good at cooking, entertaining and cleaning. Aoi is good at what she does and she knows what she wants, going after it with a rather single minded determination. She is actually one of the tougher anime characters out there. Everything she does is because of a dilberate choice, no one is making her do anything.
The other girls are also pretty fun, like I said before, with their own different personalities. Only thing is, like any other harem anime, I fell sorry for the girls falling in love and not being the one picked by the male protagonist.
Overall:
One of my favorite animes, in part because its one of the first ones I ever saw and probabaly only the 2nd or 3rd of the harem genre. I think it is a little different from a typical harem, because pretty much, you know from the start who is going to be chosen in the end. I think it is worth a watch if you like romance animes.

Story:
Basically 13 short little stories based on Japanese urban legends or myths. In my opinon, this season is the weakest of all the seasons so far. In season 1, every episode was scary, creepy and/or disturbing. Season 2 was a little scary, and season 3 was mostly just disturbing. In this season, only like 2 episodes actually scared me, mostly because I over think things sometime, so it wasn't really the episode that scared me, but my further thoughts on it. Main point is that I scare really easily, but most of these episodes did nothing in the scare factor.
Also most of the episodes
...
have no ending. It's hard to explain what I mean by this, but I don't mind if they don't show everything. Part of what makes horror "scary' sometimes is that a person's imagination fills in the gaps that the story doesn't cover. In this season though, you don't even really get enough information to do that, so it leaves the story unfinished and unfulfilling.
Animation:
The animation is different in 2 big ways. Number 1, it is brighter and clearer, which I think is against the atmosphere of the horror genre. One of the things that made the 1st season great was that it was a little dark and grainy, which increased the tension levels, at least for me. Number 2, they added shots of real life things, which to me totally broke the immersion and except in 1 case were not scary at all. I think the art style for the first 3 seasons is better.
Sound:
This is one of the main things that hurt this season. For one thing, they Story Teller from the first 3 seasons, is gone and they have a different narrator for each episode. Only 1 of the 13 new narrators even came close to being as creepy as the Story Teller. Next, a big point, the narrators in each episode narrated the whole episode drowning out the background sound and making it hard to hear the characters talking. They went overboard with it. A good example is at one point the narrator says, "She heard a creepy sound.", instead of just letting us hear the creepy sound. To me it is more scary to hear the sound myself.
Characters:
No real comment, because as always, each story has its own characters. Except to mention once again, the loss of the original Story Teller is clearly felt.
Overall:
Not as good as the first 3 seasons. In my opinion, they dropped the ball with changing the art style, the narration style and getting rid of the Story Teller. Still worth watching for the 2 or 3 creepy episodes, but just be prepared for an unfortunantly lesser experience. Still hold out hope for season 5.
