When I first heard of the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, I thought it was just a regular comedy, but it turned out to be better than I thought it would have been. The fact that it's also a sci-fi is what makes it awesome. This series makes you wonder what Haruhi really is, and what her powers are exactly. This actually turned out to be a great anime.
