A review on what I believe is a really good series.
No spoilers. No big revelations.
No analysis, just my feelings and a general impression - after watching it x1 and before watching it a 2nd time.
Just a few words that I hope will make you want to consider giving this Slice of Life a chance.
The only thing I’m not gonna talk about in superlatives is… animation. It isn’t bad, it’s actually pretty good. Yes, pretty good; just nothing mind-blowing! Guys, this isn’t a mecha!
Right off the bet, Barakamon is very touching — I’m not into Slice of Life and not easily moved by emotional and
...
dramatic blah blah — and the dialogues feel really real.
The same goes for the characters themselves - TBH, there aren’t many. Every single one of them has an interesting personality that shines!
Naru and Handa are amazing! And if you don’t know who that is, look at the picture. I mean our main couple and just so you know, they aren’t a real couple, she’s too young to think about lovu-lovu!
Anyway, they help each other out a lot! Now, Naru’s just a child but that doesn’t stop the little girl from helping Handa (aka Sensei) grow. Their relation is to die for!
That being said, I got the impression that nothing was left out; every detail was considered.
Remember what I said - “my feelings, my impression”.
The comedy parts are gr8 and actually funny!
You can expect a lot of goofy moments.
You can expect a lot of sad moments, too.
The transmission from happy to sad is flawless.
Be prepared for sadness to fill your heart & be ready to smile!
Yes, you can expect a conclusion at the end of this show.
The ending is very satisfying - now, off you go!
Don’t waste your time on boring reviews.
For what it is, I’m rating this 9/10 + 1 (from my cheat-bag) to even the score… yes, I am ignoring mediocre animation. That’s not what I believe this Anime is about. The story’s what matters foremost!
