Naruto was my first anime. I started watching Shippuden and dropped it at episode 35-ish. Instead of actually watching it, I just watched a two hour summary of it because I already got it spoiled. I might someday go back and watch it but idk
2 or 3 in the morning? You shouldn't up so late or it'll affect your health lol but I guess that's hypocritical coming from me cause I used to bingewatch One Piece till like 5 in the morning so... Also hell yeah! good to see people enjoy Boku no Hero that shit get's way too much hate on MAL for some reason😂 Season 5 HYPE!! 😎
I loved it just as much as the previous seasons of the show and S4 had so many good moments in it like Deku vs Overhaul and Endeavour vs High End were so hype! Overall incredible stuff as always I mean you really can't go wrong with MHA tbh :D
It's alright dood :) Yay hope you enjoy it! Yeah I've been in the same situation as you more or less. Even though I'm on my academic break right now I'm just not in the mood to watch anime.
Sure thing! I really want to read Chainsaw Man but I'm getting through some other manga right now. I know it's getting an anime adaptation by MAPPA studio soon, so I'm really looking forward to that! As for manga, here are some good ones with basic genres and an accurate score from me:
1. One Piece (of course) - shonen, adventure, action, comedy, drama, superpowers. Great worldbuilding and characters. 10/10. Currently releasing, 1004 chapters so far.
2. Golden Kamuy - seinen, adventure, action, comedy, drama, historical, gore, war, mystery, drama, psychologically twisting. Takes place in Japan after the Russo-Japanese war. Incredibly accurate historical fiction, amazing characters, AWESOME villains, pretty much flawless imo. I have absolutely 0 criticism for it. But it does require to pay attention and read between the lines because there is a LOT of lying and manipulation. 10/10. Currently releasing, 268 chapters so far.
3. One Punch Man - shonen, action, comedy, overpowered main character, some mild gore, superpowers. Best illustrations for a manga I've ever seen. So entertaining to read. 9.8/10. Currently releasing, 139 chapters so far.
4. My Hero Academia (after you finish season 4 and if you don't want to wait for season 5 in a few weeks) - shonen, action, adventure, comedy, mild gore, superpowers, heroes. It's been INSANE lately. After every chapter I think it can't get better, but IT DOES. Very accurate depiction of human emotions and just overall outstanding. 9.5/10. Currently releasing, 302 chapters so far.
5. Berserk - seinen, lots and lots of gore, action, adventure, supernatural, superpowers, drama, some mild horror, VERY explicit (lots of r*pe). Dark doesn't describe this accurately. It's like a black hole. Just seeing everything play out was horrifying. Incredible illustrations. But it might mess you up a little bit so be wary. 9.5/10. Currently releasing, 363 chapters so far.
6. Slam Dunk - shonen, basketball, comedy, action, drama. Classic basketball manga that has stood the test of time and remains one of the all-time greats. For its time, it has awesome illustrations and some amazing characters. Hanamichi Sakuragi, the protagonist, is one of my all-time favorites. 10/10. Completed, 276 total chapters.
7. Haikyuu!! (recommended you watch the anime first though, and pick up where season 4 of the anime ends) - shonen, volleyball, comedy, action, drama. The action sequences just pop out of the page. Art style is pretty inconsistent because of how much detail goes into the action, but it doesn't affect enjoyment. Just an overall really amazing read. I was high-key addicted for the last 70ish chapters. 9.2/10. Completed, 402 total chapters.
8. Vagabond - seinen, action, gore, historical, samurai, drama. Vagabond is a fictional story (but based on real-life events) of Miyamoto Musashi, probably the most famous swordsman from Japan. He was revered as a sword-saint. But the road to get there was not easy. Watching Shinmen Takezo, the man who would become Miyamoto Mushashi, learn as a swordsman is truly awesome. Incredible illustrations and action. Lots of gore and blood. Once again, it is based on real life events and many of the characters were real-life people. 8.9/10. On hiatus, 327 total chapters.
9. Dr. Stone (recommended you watch the anime first because it's GOOD) - shonen, science, comedy, adventure, drama. The world has essentially gotten reset, but I won't say how. Watching Senku, a high school genius, rebuild civilization from nothing, is truly exhilarating. Fantastic art and characters. One of the most unique stories I've ever read. 8.4/10. Currently releasing, 186 chapters so far.
10. Black Clover - shonen, action, adventure, superpowers, comedy. A boy with zero magic in a world where magic means everything wants to become the Wizard King, the leader of all magic users. He has to work his way from the very bottom, make a name for himself, and keep surpassing his limits to reach the top. I prefer the anime over the manga because the panels pack so much punch. However, pick out a few fight scenes you want to see and watch em. 8.8/10. Currently releasing, 283 chapters so far.
So far it is been one of my fav arcs not gonna lie! Now I started reading the manga and its getting better and better! Can't wait to see how its going to end.
Well no need to rush, u still have amazing arcs to see,, hope u kep enjoying it!
Hey, all respect to you if you like dubs over subs! I'm not a sub elitist who will castrate you for liking dubs - we all got our own tastes. And your plan to read the manga sounds good - Dressrosa will definitely be a lot faster to read than to watch. Enjoy!
