This show is all over the place. I wanted so damn bad to love this show, and i still love parts of it, but parts of it are so bad it can't save the rest.
Firstly, the concepts are kind of generic, and I believe they could have tried to differentiate what makes this show truly special through a great storyline, which it never ended up doing. The story kicks off alright, hooking you in. However, as soon as you get hooked, it starts to suck. bad. Episode 1-15 are the best in the show, then 16-25 are mediocre, and everything past 25 sucks the ... joy out of you for attempting to watch it.

This shit is a masterpiece. Damn. Alright, now that I've gotten that said and done, here's why.

Story-
-The story moves fast, with little in the way of explanations. Some may find this hard to keep up with at first, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It immersed me into the show by not spoon-feeding me all details. If you can keep up, it will be very rewarding. 10/10.

Art-
-I'm aware this is an old anime, but it doesn't show it's true age too badly with outdated animation. The colors are beautiful and scenery is sharp. Also, the setting is very immersive and fits ... the story perfectly. 10/10.

Sound-
The sound effects are decent, but what makes the sound so special is the surround. This is the first show I have watched where audio moves according to what's on screen, and it's very cool to listen to. For instance, if the camera pans, distant objects will sound as if they are moving left with the camera. Also, the music is downright classic. You can't get the intro out of your head after one episode :) 10/10.

Characters-
-My favorite part of the show. The characters feel very human and relatable, pulling you into the story even more than you already were. I can't say much here to avoid spoilers, but the characters are phenomenal. See for yourself. 10/10.

Overall-
10/10.

I really tried to like this, and no matter how hard I tried, this show still was the worst thing I've ever seen. I've seen many compare it to older works like Trigun or InuYasha but that is, simply put, an absolute slap in the face to those shows.

-The concept/story makes no sense, and isn't even intriguing enough to make you want to try and make it out.
-The characters are insanely annoying, to the point of ripping hair out.
-The soundtrack is the opposite of memorable, this may have been the most bland and diluted instrumentation of any anime I've ever seen.
-The art genuinely ... hurts my eyes its so bad.

Clarence is a better anime. Stop watching this. Thanks!!
