deals a lot with depression and opening your heart to others. both are very good at changing your feelings with the mood it sets. some scenes can feel cold and distant, while others feel warm and welcoming. they're overall fluffy, feel good shows. both protagonists are quiet, antisocial, and not good at expressing themselves. both are also frequently taken care of by kind people who are not blood-relatives.

short, quick moving gag jokes. sarcastic character who acts tough/emotionless actually cares for his friends a lot more than he lets on. neither show takes itself too seriously. Senyuu has more of a plot building up in the background, while Saiki is solely comedic.

They're both detective shows with goofy moments as well as a lot of dark ones. Akechi is fairly similar to Hamatora's protag, Nice; thought other than Nice there's not any character I can think of too alike the characters in Ranpo (Art could arguably be the counter role of Namikoshi). I think the color styles are pretty much the same too if that's something.

Both have a similar atmosphere, like large crowded cities with secret gangs plus monsters and supernatural entities and stuff. Also both are goofy except for a few plot important moments.
