I see that you are reading the Kikokugai series, I browsed the internet a bit and downloaded a few files, but I couldn't figure out how to read it in English.
Where did you read it? Can you help me?
I don't think when ovas are made they're meant to be masterpieces that rival the original. I personally didn't see much difference in art, and for a seven-minute short not much existentialism can be included, but they still had the weirder aspects. And again, can't have much plot in seven minutes.
Because ovas usually have to do with the main series, isn't identical animation enough? You supposedly like TG yet hate its similar ovas? What did you expect, another 11 eps in 1?
Oh, in TG they don't do silly things for the heck of it?
To me,she is really faithful to Yukki and is nothing like Akane of course. You know,I mean that she's really in love with one person and not selfish scum.Yeah, she's a little bit crazy but I love her affection :)
Sorry about the massive delay in responding. I only really login to update my lists and sometimes post on the forums. I already don't watch that much anime and my life has been really weird these days so I have been "neglecting" things for a while, and that includes MAL.
I heard about Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei, I should watch it soon. I have enough free time :P
In regards to Aku No Hana, I liked how it was so psychological. Sawa, the way she acted... she's fascinating, and I could relate to all three characters at times... although Nanako, I ended up hating her because of the manga. If you read it, you'll know why.
The characters and situations are realistic and that's a plus for me. I don't really know, there's a lot of things that I enjoyed about it.
The atmosphere made you feel uneasy about everything... it was hard to watch sometimes.
The art matched the story well, I hate how everybody thought it sucked. Yeah, it wasn't perfect rotoscoping, but there is no such thing as perfect rotoscoping/animation.
Also, the manga is wonderful, but I wish the anime continued though because it was unique. It kind of enhances the whole experience, and makes the story even better.
My problem with Aku no Hana was that, despite the anime being very tense, I felt relatively normal after finishing it... however, due to the cliffhanger, I started reading the manga, and it destroyed me pretty bad for a few days. I was already feeling rather bad and it only made me worse. I wanted to get away from things and even act more like Sawa... I wanted to be more quiet, because at least I wouldn't say stupid things, and I was kind of hating everyone at the time.
I relate to her so much, except that I'm not as antisocial like her, but I'm lonely and everybody thought I was strange. I think people still do. Whatever.
Anyway... I heard that the author (Oshimi Shuzo) based Sawa's personality on his own wife. That is interesting.
¡Gracias! Me alegro de que te haya gustado. Me gusta enrollarme como las persianas cuando escribo así que siempre lo hago todo más largo de lo que debería de ser, pero me apunto lo de resumir.
Ye the 3rd movie wasn't THAT bad, if I didn't know anything about Madoka and watched that by itself I might of even thought it was ok. It was just poor compared to the previous ones.
Its been a while since I saw Berserk, but I seem to remember the reasons I didn't like it was that the animation was crap, the enemies acted like idiots, and the reason why the main guy turned evil was pretty stupid imo.
No problem. It's only be chance that I just caught you reply this quick and have some time to answer.
So, I'll look into that site and hope to find an equally awesome avatar. My current one is getting a little stale. Even if it is an awesome Touhou Wallpaper.
And glad to hear it. I think I'll like all of the series, OVAs, and film either way, but I'm glad to hear its more cohesive and connective. Personally, I'm just loving the originality and superb film editing style used and the witty banter beats the my previous favourite for witty and excellent banter- Spice and Wolf. Also a great series if I may recommend it. Check my profile description for a brief opinion.
And feel free to recommend any more awesome anime and I'll be happy to do likewise. Talk to you later.:)
