I don't understand if there's a trouble in the chapters numbering here or if there's some lost manga chapters hidden around, because from every place i see there's only 6 chapters instead of the ten wrote, otherwise it will been explained many things like the ugly final as the previous reviewer here and in the chapters discussion subforum mentioned.
Too bad, because visually is really well realized, got some modern looking and it's cool to watch the draws! The story is generic and tries to fill some plot holes in the main storyline, but for doing so the author decided to rushing out the other events,
...
leaving us with a good story but not fully understandable from a person who never watched\read Gundam before.
Characterization here is a pretty strong point because it was very well realized for me!

A one-shot adaption of the popular Gundam OAV "War in the Pocket" that didn't have a proper review so far, made few years after the original anime release iirc.
I saw there's another adaption of this story made in recent years but never read it.
The art is good, well realized in the mecha and human characterization (especially the mecha one) but it really shows the age this manga was drawn, have all the 90s tropes in one story all displayed on paper.
The story is well realized, giving a different and more complex vision from a neutral perspective of this kid (Alfred) living a neutral zone
...
of the Side 6 orbital station that meets a Zeon soldier after the last starts a fight against the federal forces because the Zeon forces tried to stole the secret plans for a new, more powerful Gundam model that will turn the war balances. For taking these important plans, the young soldier Bernie and his team are convoked for a undercover espionage mission on Side 6 where the robot are been send. Thanks to the help of Alfred, the Zeon army gets some very important news about the new Gundam, after many other things happening in the story growing up the two characters of Bernie and Al and their friendship until a heartbreaking sacrifice that shows the pointless nature of war.
Talking about the character personalities, they are well written despite the short nature of this manga, especially for the duo of Alfred and Bernie as i wrote above the friendship between the two helps each other understand better the world around the little Alfred and the people he knows.

This manga sure is a interesting thing: a short story wrote by a popular erotic artist that mashup together evangelion-like mecha design, space opera, time travel, aliens, body horror, weird "religious" beliefs in a strange but pretty addicting tale of mystery that isn't that well explained as well as the characterization of the story cast that are just cardboard characters that talks in weird, mystic way but don't have too much progression in the story.
But what about the plot? A mysterious naked girl falls from the sky while some guy declares his love to a girl followed by her self-declared "defense group", a band of
...
block neighborhood that follows this poor girl for reasons that will come known in the future (literally) that are fighting another alien group that tries to eliminate said group and release a powerful entity called Arisino (at least this is the name used in the Italian adaptation) that's been locked in the girl's body (called Itsuki) somehow and all of this are part of a plan to don't destroy the universe when Arisino will be freed by it's fleshy prison according to the foresights of "It", the godlike mysterious boss behind the curtains of the story. The guy (called Mitsutaka) and the "defense team" will warp between their eras of present and future (depends of who is the character involved) for saving Itsuki, the guy will be helped in this journey by Soma, the mysterious naked girl, that is actually part of the "executor" that will destroy Itsuki and the world. Also, the sister of the male main character is linked to all of this in a strange, cryptic way.
A pretty cool bonus feature is the appendix tutorial for making manga using Photoshop 4 and Bryce, awesome! A short interview is also present in the second volume of the Italian adaptation of this manga (This series is divided in 3 volumes instead of 2, flipper reading version as almost every manga release here).
The art direction really shows the 00 style of manga art, with pretty charming ladies with very expressive eyes, and with the best part being the world of the future exteriors, sets in a weird, desertic and Roundy land with sands, mountains and strange destroyed buildings.
It could be too cryptic to understand the main story, but It have some cool visuals thanks to Toshiki art. Really a manga not for all, but so far during my re-reading of it after decades (really!) it's a good read.

A collection of short, unfinished stories (expect for 2 chapters) by Izumi Matsumoto, the creator of Orange Road series.
As far as i concerned, this thing was done for collecting the previously done short stories ideas and concepts the author wanted to show using the coloring technique with softwares from mid 90s, is a interesting concept to say at least. Seen these kind of things done only on videogames and modding scene.
Stories:
1- A one-shot special on his more popular franchise, Orange Road. Just a short Ecchi story where the main characters goes to a onsen (public bath). The protagonist, Kyosuke, swaps his body with her friend
...
Hikaru after hitting their heads. Troubles and sexy stuff ahead!
2 - Another short where a guy loses the will to see the world colors (literally) after he broke with his girlfriend. A new meet with another girl will made return to see a coloured world again.
3 - The most long story of the volume, a sort of beginning for a cyberpunk tale where a JK girl, a guy that looks like Trunks brought on Wish, the Police searching for clues on something, a virtual world named after a imaginary planet "beloved" from conspiracy theorist that hides more than what it's shown, all in a convoluted story where nothing is truly explained and the atmosphere tends to be more comedic than else. Or at try to do that.
4 - A short introduction to a comedy sets in the feudal Japan when the first westerners approached their shores with their "black ship", two wacky strangers "send" by the white house are going to meet the natives, a girl hates all the gaijin; the young stranger bumps in the girl after he was peeping the girls in the bath sauna. Drum roll. Applauses.
I wonder if any these last two stories are been more developed in the future or not... I really wonder, especially for the cyberpunk one. The stories are kinda well written, despite the messy parts in EE it was a fun read, helped by the art style with gorgeous girls and funny expressions.

Manga adaption of the homonym movie by J.C. Staff made by the original authors Be Papas and Chiho Saito that made the anime\manga Utena.
The story is a condensed version of the animated series\manga, where this new student named Utena Tenjou enters in the exclusive Otori school passing by a boy but after meeting her old love interest that after donating her a rose and a ring, from this point she's been involved into a dueling wars against the other students for conquering the "rose bride"; a mysterious fascinating girl sister of the school principal.
The story is well realized with a heavily influenced plot by Gnosticism,
...
Shintoism, Kaballah and other religious\mysticism points presented in the story, like Rose symbolism, numerology and other things; it's pretty addicting to follow despite the short pace. Some parts of the story aren't that well explained here, like how Anthy Himemiya (the rose bride) is tied physically and spiritually with Dios or what in reality Dios is, or if the characters are, without a better term of comparison, "alive" or "dead" entrapped in this place (or better say, non-place), but everything will come to a sort of realization when the story ends.
The characters are all well realized, especially the main couple and Toga, with a modification in the relationship between Utena and Anthy from being simple friends to a real couple, but the other characters in the story are briefly presented or just marginalized as extras between the duels.
Another changes are some minor things and a new end from the movie that i will not going to told here, but if you know that scene you know.
The art direction by Chiho Saito it's really beautiful, with a great emphasis on human characters making them extremely charming and the environmental design is left in a abstract place expect for the key-plot areas of the school (the principal tower, the rose garden, the duel arena in the sky) giving to all a dreamy, liminal like world where the Utena stories happens.
Overall, a pretty good manga that i recommend warmly!

One of the earliest manga i bought when i started my passion for manga and anime in the early 2000s, it's a very fun comic about a generic (and pretty perverted, like Ataru from Uruseiyatsura) teen guy that one day founds at home a cute girl named Nana, but Nana in reality is a cyborg create by his father. Funny stories and spicy jokes awaits the duo that will be followed by 2 other cyborg girls and more characters.
The story is pretty Classic type of "Ecchi" comedy and i seen this type of stories other times, but nonetheless it was written in a funny and
...
enjoyable way. Characters are well realized with their own quirks and emotions.
The art design is truly lovely to watch, i like this silly style and fits well the type of story that is presented.
Overall, a fun manga from what i recall, i think other people will enjoy this.

A fun short series that doesn't have any reviews and have a mediocre rating for some reasons unknown, maybe people here expected something more serious about teenage problems solving, i don't know.
The series is centered at the mis-adventures of Nanami Aida and her two friends Tamayo and Miyako trough various little issues of teenage life and the way to survive them in the "safest" way thanks to the "prince" Kinshiro Kurimoto, charming boss of a mysterious Secret Society that want to help the girls in trouble...
The story isn't nothing too special, but It was presented and exploited in a funny, kinda original way.
The art is
...
well done and fits well with the story; characters are well realized, even if (for comedic reasons) they act a little out of the ordinary, the protagonist have her chance to grow her character trough the story, finding the way to accept herself better until the end.
Overall, the series is pretty funny and worth a read!

A wholesome slice of life shojo manga from the early half of the 90s, that was adapted in a animated series of 26 episodes, as well as a manga sequel and a little spin-off.
The manga talks about the stories of the preteen girl Yuko and her friends during the middle school mostly; between friendship, school matters and first loves; between fun and difficult moments. Includes as well real life stories by the author as bonus stories.
The art is pretty simple but well done, the Yabuuchi style of drawing is very cute and develops very well the character emotions!
The scripting is very well done and really
...
takes you with the moments everybody living at the moment.
I really enjoy this series, re-reading It recently after.... More than 20 years i buy and read It, it's highly recommended!

A 3 episode OAV based upon the shoot'em'up series with the same title plus the Gradius games (that are sets in the same shared universe?) where a war against eldrichtian space monstrosities known as "bacterian" is on the loose between two forces from the Planet Gradius and Lotus, as been introduced in the second OAV.
The show pace is good, maybe a little too long and stretched in the first episode, the characterization is... Decent, i must say, but with the original source (that i don't know at it's best, sorry) i don't know what to expect, there's be only starships and aliens, and the "original"
...
characters done are good and doing their job well, they act like cardboards characters sometimes but it's not a massive problem to me, thanks to the story pace and especially the character design, made by Haruhiko Mikimoto of Macross fame, a artist i really enjoy his works.
Animation is good even if a little stiff in some rare moments, the music is good and uses classical pieces with game BGM in a pretty good orchestral version.
The only part i didn't fully enjoyed is the first OAV, with some weird decisions in the plot leading to a finale that i didn't fully understood the reasons this happened and the slow, sluggy pace of the story, but it's a cool show from the 80s overall.

This OAV is really a son of the Japan's bubble economy of the mid 80s, because there's no real way such a thing like this will be produced, made and sell (i don't have many informations on this expect is a special taken from a magazine) in stores if not by greasy methods. It's a amateurish series of random perverted skits by various and sometimes very uncanny situations (magician skit already mentioned by all other previous reviewers), but it's a just pretty bland anime in my opinion.
The "Midi" funky BGM is cool, as well as some skits made me chuckle in a childish
...
way.
