I have this odd tendency to start series but never finish anything. I tend to prefer the ideas, setting, and characters over the plot. The plot is nearly just a side note for me. I prefer to explore the characters, get to know them, and from there let my imagination create my own plotline. I'll do the same with stories with intriguing settings. I've read or watched multiple series that had boring or unlikable characters, a pathetic plot, and cliches galore and went further in those series than other better series simply because they had one part of the world setting that caught my attention.
I'm trying to get better at actually finishing stuff. At one point, I nearly doubled my completed anime list just by finishing off the last few episodes of random series and by watching all the other stuff like specials that I skipped before. Either way though it means I've seen or read little bits of tons of stuff so I can give recs if you want.
All in all, if you see a series of which I've watched 5 episodes and is on hold or dropped, that means that nothing succeeded in catching my interest. 10 eps means that something caught my attention but lost it. If I actually finished a series, sit up and take notice. There was something there.
Oh yeah, and don't expect a picture. I can't draw at all so any picture I put up would be someone else's work. I refuse to make a plagiarized image into one of the biggest things to represent me. I've considered other things, but so far I'm leaving the slate blank.
