The first couple chapters were really good, but everything after that is just regular power fantasy cringy manhwa shit. It's plot had the potential to be really good, and I was hoping it would be good since I liked the artist's other works, but it turned out to just be like every other cliche manhwa. There's others doing the same exact thing but better. Good idea, poor execution. It was sad how the plot devolved into slop. It's worth reading, but it's not worth getting excited over. I love the artist, they can draw really well, but I don't like how they kept doing the
...
"manic"/"insane" faces for the MC. Really stereotypical imo.

I wrote a review for the oneshot before the first chapter of this manga came out. I made one prediction: "There was going to be a choice of who gets to stay and who doesn't," and I was right. I'm mainly just writing this review to say I was right. No spoiler warning because this is the first chapter I'm covering.
Art: 9/10, it's really good, but sometimes the body proportions can look a bit off. I like how they make their panels, it's quite dramatic. Expressions feel, well, expressive.
Story: 9/10, I think it has potential to be explored, but I don't see
...
this going past 25 chapters sadly. Might be good or bad depending how you see it.
Characters: 7/10, pretty run of the mill. Chill pretty girl who "doesn't care what others think" so she'll act how she wants to. Boy with a heart rate of 180 round the clock who is always blushing like he's been working in 110 degree weather for the entire day. Girl number 2, she's girl number 1 but more outgoing and funny. The characters are pretty stereotypical, but I can see them being a lot of fun once they're developed more.
Would I recommend? It's one chapter right now. I'd read it. idk when the next chapter will come out but ig we'll find out together.

I'll start this review out by saying this: if you think this is a bad story for xyz reasons, or just want to enjoy it in a different way, I heavily encourage you to read the LN. It doesn't have the flaws the Manhua falls for. We are at chapter 39 in the Manhua, LN + side stories are finished.
Let's start with the good:
Art: Easy 10/10. Some of the best art I've ever seen in a Manhua. When I initially picked up this Manhua at like chapter 25, I wasn't expecting such AWESOME scenes.
Characters: 7/10. The more I dwell on this, I do
...
realize there are some serious flaws with the characters. They're pretty bland, but at least they can effectively move along the plot without making it boring. I do hate on how a lot of characters are reduced to being Ed's 9th girlfriend. Yes, I know that as of right now there's only two characters actively pursuing him, but c'mon, we know there's more.
Story: 8/10. The pacing of the actual story is fast, which I like, and I love how much filler where the characters get closer with each other. It is also stated on page 406 of the LN that the story had been severely fast-tracked, so there is mention of the story progression in the actual story. The story itself, while fun, can be pretty bland when you consider how overpowered our little forest noble can be when he tries for no reason. Yeah, I get that he's been training wind blade, but there was NO reason he should've been able to beat that thing, defense broken or not. There are some serious issues with the story, but it's fine if you're okay with issues. There's not really plot holes, I've tried to find them, but the story suffers from different issues.
9/10 from me. I'm slightly vegetablized so I can see past the flaws pretty easily.
Alright, I wanna address some things I saw in another review. I would advise skipping this part unless you've finished the story, because here there be spoilers.
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
1. Worldbuilding doesn't exist.
Yeah that's true, but we get a rough idea of what life is like outside of the island through Lortelle's Arc.
2. They won't explain why Ed doesn't choose to live a commoners life because it will ruin their main plot.
They HAVE explained this. Graduating the school practically guarantees him an easy life, hence why he fights so hard to stay there.
3. Corruption of nobility concept being thrown away.
In later chapters this is a HUGE point in the story, I'm not gonna bash you for not knowing that, it's mostly in the LN, but it's slowly getting adapted.
4. Lortelle's adoptive evil dad barely having any plot relevance.
That's because he was a "third-rate villain", like Ed. Just a guy there to move the plot forward then die. He was intentionally made to not have plot relevance, and from the sounds of it, he gets more of it in this story than the actual game.
5. Jikks' tribe being introduced in his backstory, only to never be brought up again.
They're probably all dead. I don't see them lasting that long without my goat Jikks. Besides, what are they going to do? There'd be literally no point to have them in the story.
6. Ed's family being super evil.
Read some more of the story, this is extremely relevant and Ed's dad is one of the biggest villains in the series. Plus, they just introduced his little sister in the Manhua, who is there to make their father proud and get rid of Ed.
All of these are some valid points that you may experience when reading it for the first time, but unfortunately a lot of them are addressed in the story.

hahahahahaha HOLY SHIT. I was rereading this and I thought her saying "if you're gonna be haunted by something retarded like guilt, maybe your dumbass shouldn't have killed me" was HILARIOUS. That was a direct quote from the translation I read. Now for the actual review.
Yeah it's good, I'll say that. The story is simple, actually really simple. The MC tries to have a backbone but it's clear his spine cannot handle the pressure Sara puts him under. I just find it hilarious she had this much determination to act all cutesy with him and convince him to commit suicide. She really guilt trips the
...
hell out of homeboy and it's hilarious. At first you're like "she's bad, but maybe there's more to the story", then you go to "I kinda feel bad for her", and lastly "you bitch! I admire the dedication but you BITCH".
Would I recommend it? Hell yeah. It's a oneshot so it's not like you're gonna miss all that much time reading this. I first read this about half a year ago, and I wasn't really writing reviews at that point + didn't use MAL. If I was homeboy, I'd just say "now no one can hear you scream" but since I'm not a bad person, I'm not actually gonna hit her or anything (don't hit ladies, we're gentlemen, not savages). I wanna make her seriously cry for some reason. If you've read my other reviews, you'd know I like them crazy, so realistically I'm just gonna date her as a ghost.

As it stands right now "Is It Alright for My Multiverse Self to Fall in Love?" only has a oneshot (thought I do believe it's going to be serialized), so I will be reviewing that on it's own. I think it definitely has potential, but it's hard to judge how the future will be for this series given the unique concept.
First, The Concept: I've made a lot of jokes about selfcest, and I think they'll only increase as the story goes on. But moving away from that, it's a solid idea. "I saved a girl I had a crush on and she saves me
...
in return, except it wasn't her" sounds quite fun to me. I've always been kinda a science fiction nerd so in case they ever explore possible time traveling shenanigans, I won't complain, as long as it adds to the story in a unique way. I'm gonna make one prediction, multiverse Miyato is gonna have to go back to where they came from at the end and it's gonna be a VERY bittersweet ending.
Second, The Art: It's definitely good. The expressions are extremely well done, and I like the character designs. There obviously hasn't been too much to see so far, but I like it. The art seems like someone experienced made it (I can't find any other work by the artist, so they may or may not have experience). But since I gotta be honest, there has been a couple iffy panels in the oneshot. There's not many, it's just a few, but if you look long enough on some, you may find inconsistencies in the art.
Third, The Characters: I'll keep this short, we don't know much about them. Jogo comes off as a bit indecisive, maybe a bit of a compulsive liar at some times, but he's not a bad guy. He's good hearted and hasn't done anything wrong so far. Miyato (our miyato) is pretty average, but is open with her feelings, it seems. When Jogo asks her out, she declines, saying it's too sudden, but they get closer with each other. Miyato (multiverse) is well, also pretty average, but she's more unique. She is more outgoing, more cheerful, and teases MC quite a lot. All three characters need more depth and characterization, but I'll give a lot of leeway considering it is a oneshot.
Would I recommend it? Yeah, it's a oneshot. If you got like 10 minutes, go read it.

if you value your sanity and time, do not read this. i hated myself for reading this. i'm not really affected by gore and shit but this made me gag and feel like i was going to puke. it's genuinely disgusting and there's no point to reading it. if i had to choose death or read this again, i would choose death. first, saki is like 15. second, older men are raping her and manipulating her. third, she becomes a prostitute. fourth, he own dad rapes her. fifth, she gets heavily addicted to drugs. sixth, her fuckboy boyfriend doesn't really even consider them dating, ignores
...
her, and rents her out for other men to fuck her. seventh, while saki is orgasming and high as a fucking kite, that bitch she calls her boyfriend puts piercings in her. eighth, her boyfriend beats her and throws her out for not bringing home money. ninth, a pair of homeless men WITH STDs rape her. tenth, she's pregnant, FOR THE SECOND TIME AS A 15 YEAR OLD GIRL. eleventh, she is literally chasing her next high and prostitutes herself for drugs. twelfth, after amassing a bit of money, some kids beat her while she's very visibly pregnant. thirteenth, she crawls while covered in blood into a bathroom and shoots up one last time before dying.
WHAT THE FUCK WAS THIS. IT JUST FELT LIKE SHOCK VALUE. IT FELT LIKE THE PLOT WAS "watch this shy girl try and become more likeable just to get abused by LITERALLY EVERYONE." THERE WAS BARELY ANY STORY, AND THE ONE THAT WAS THERE WAS TERRIBLE. "hey babe im gonna be a prostitute to help you pay for drugs."
I would not recommend this to anyone, even if you killed my family I would STILL not recommend it to you. I don't know why I read this, I regret EVER touching this abomination. To the writer of Metamorphosis- never write again. 0/10, would go lower if I could.

I've read 36 chapters (that's how many the English translation has covered as of late July 2024), and it's good. Really good. My favorite thing about it is the author's humor which comes off as autism mixed with sarcasm. No one in this manga is "normal" and they all are unique characters. Sometimes the author just will draw shit for no reason and it's funny as hell. There was no reason to draw the MC in a bunnysuit but they did and it was mad funny.
Would I recommend it? Yeah, if you like those romances that don't feel like romances. The MC is pretty
...
unique, despite being a bit dull, and during the later chapters you can see he matures quite a lot. He's not dumb, but he can come off as such. I'm not gonna spoil anything, but he does think faster than you would expect him to. Solid 8/10 and I would recommend this to specifically Gen Z (anyone can enjoy this, i just know gen z would the most) for the humor aspect of it.

It was honestly pretty good. I like the characters quite a lot even if they seem a bit stereotypical. 75% of the story is literally just a retelling of John Wick while the 25% focuses on the FMC and MC's relationship. I'm thankful I got here before it blew up (chapter 8), and hopefully it does, because not a single chapter so far has been bad. The art is really good too, with some of the action being "holy fuck, it did not have to go this hard." It has a nice dark undertone which fits the theme well.
Would I recommend it? Hell yeah,
...
it's 8 chapters as of now so if you have like an hour of time I'd read it over. The chapters are decently long but they remain entertaining throughout the duration of the chapter. If it were 100 chapters, I'd still recommend it. It's honestly worth reading as it has fun dynamics and fun characters. It's not perfect, the story itself (not the chapters, those are fun) can come off as boring, and it's pretty slow paced, but it's worth a read and I'm wondering how it ends. Something tells me this will be a great tragedy.

It wasn't what I was expecting, but it was really good. The ending was bittersweet, but I don't do spoilers. I would 100% recommend this for any romcom fans. It's also not a romcom if it makes sense. Romance isn't even a real aspect of it. It's not about romance, and there's practically none anyways. No one in this manga is perfect, and it's made evident. The characters have their flaws and make mistakes, but no one is inherently a bad person in this story. It's a more mature story that I think most will like. I liked it but the ending was a bit
...
predictable (translators also spoiled it for me so maybe that's why it was predictable). So yeah, worth a read. Hole-heartedly endorsed by yours truly.
Mommy ghost maid? Hell yeah.

Honestly, my favorite romance. The MC, Arisu Yamabuki. He's a member of the Yamabuki group, a pretty wealthy group, and that causes him to be drowning in women 24/7. He gets asked out on like page 3 of chapter 1, but here's why he's a good main character; he said no without getting all flustered. He acts like an ass sometimes, but he's not actually an ass. He's just overly confident and determined. He goes asking girls if they love him more than once in the story (reminder: 37 chapters as of writing this. This is NOT normal MC RomCom behavior). He's realistically smart and
...
has actual flaws (i.e. being cocky). It's also shown that he's unreasonably fast. Like the story makes sure you know Arisu can run really fast for no reason. But what makes it better is that it's not a plot point in the story, or that girls will gawk upon him even more because of it, it's just something that was pointed out (he was also carrying two girls while running and was still a speed demon).
Story? The overall plot is pretty good. I mean, guy is trying to find the first girl he told that he loved her, but only remembers her voice. One day at a new school, he hears her voice on the intercom so he rushes to the announcement club to find her. Problem is, every girl in there sounds like her. So he promptly joins the club and vows to get to know all the girls to find out who is his first love. BUT... The arcs are pretty mid. Doesn't really take away from anything, it's still great, but I found some of the plots and reasonings a bit boring.
Now for the part you probably came here for... The girls. Kinda stereotypical but ARISU is the reason we're reading this, not them.
Nene: Annoying Tsundere type that likes hitting MC. I'm pretty sure she scored lowest on the popularity tests but she's been getting a lot of attention recently, so that's nice. (whole ass arc about her rn)
Iko: She's shy and a VTuber, but somehow Arisu is also able to help her with confidence and stuff and well, it's romance, of course she falls for him. She serves as the "shy girl that actually has way more going on than you'd think" of the group.
Rikka: She says "I love you" chapter one as a joke to mess with him. She's probably the most "realistic" out of the group. Plays the guitar, she's the only one that actually has issues with Arisu, but she's also the most, how do I say this, openly affectionate. Yeah no, she ain't scared of what other people think. You'll see what I mean.
Lemon: she the goat fr fr. whenever lemon drunk it's a peak chapter guaranteed fr fr no cap straight bussin on god.
Shinobu: My personal favorite. She's pretty typical but she's cute. She get's flustered easy. Overworked, intelligent (but not when it comes to people), and a hard worker. She's portrayed as kinda like the caretaker of the whole ass school. Class president or sm high ranking student role, everyone puts their worries on her. But then Arisu comes in and it's clear she at least likes him to a certain extent when no one else did (besides Rikka, but they met prior to the group meeting him). Arisu helps her with her work, convinces her to stop working so hard, and they become like official friends. Arisu's a goat.
All in all. 100% recommend. r/TuneInToTheMidnight has all chapters posted there, so go read it. NOW. I'm not recommending anymore, go read it. If not for me, do it for Arisu. Author also wrote "Senryuu Shoujo" which I myself haven't read but I heard it was really good. Might go read it.
