I love it. I love it so much. Why the genre doesn't include "Yuri" is beyond me.
This review contains information that is revealed throughout the manga (spoilers), however most things here should be minor details or be something that happens near the beginning.
One of my favorite things about this is the inserts about cat behaviors. "Cats flick their ears when agitated" and other cool cat facts. The characters are extremely cute.
Yuki is a shy girl who has Catulus Syndrome. Because of her condition, she was rejected by the parents of her would-be friends, so she can't socialize well. Catulus Syndrome only occurs
...
in females, and those with it are more likely to fall in love with other girls. Catulus Syndrome causes the humans who have it to exhibit cat-like behaviors and attributes, such as cat ears and tail, as well as being able to see in the dark, strength to jump several times their height, along with things like disliking water, displaying their emotions on their tails, and more. They can also fully turn into cats, however this isn't at will, it needs some kind of stimulant. The entire concept of Catulus Syndrome is incredible adorable.
Riko is a cat seductress. Cats seem to stick to her like magnets. And Yuki has seemed to fall quite madly in love with her. Riko works at her uncle's cat cafe, and over time, many Catulus join.
Yuki is extremely adorable, both in behavior and appearance. A word of caution, if you are sensitive to that, make sure you have something to hold off your nosebleeds. She is very shy, and blushes often. She also has a lot of "internal meetings" where we see her thought process. Despite not being able to socialize, while she may not look like it, she is smart.
Now a word about the ending. I loved the ending. It wrapped up the main story well, but some of the side stories left me wondering. For example, will others ever find out that Yuki is Tundra?
Overall, I just gotta say, if you love cats, catgirls, transformation, cute girls falling in love, or anything like that, you will probably love this underrated manga.

(Review as of 8/1/21, episodes 1-4; edited 9/11/21, eps 5-10)
This review contains spoilers about contents of the anime, as several points I wish to make find them necessary.
The first thing I don't like about is that there isn't much story depth. I you read the current synopsis and expected a real isekai, you may be disappointed. As of the time of writing, we have no details on how the MC died or was transported, the difficulties of going to a new world, or how they came to become a pharmacist in the other world. Furthermore, we never find out where he used to work,
...
(as a corporate drone), or how he came to learn to make medicine. To elaborate, we get a bit of backstory on how the characters met (and I really do mean a bit), but nothing on how this guy learned to make medicine in the first place, how he came to the other world, or if he had died in the other world or not. The plot would be effectively the same if they were just in that world and had never been transported from another (just a fantasy anime).
On top of that, if you expect any kind of explanation on how medicines are made, this isn't the right place. Just about every time a new medicine is made, a clip plays that always seems to be the same. Yeah, I will admit, it is kind of cute, but it gets old very very fast. Essentially, the MC will say "bring me [vague ingredient]" then the clip plays and he is like "its done!", with no real explanation on it.
The anime itself isn't inherently bad, but calling it a "cheat isekai" feels like false advertising. From the story, there doesn't seem to be any cheat involved, as he doesn't seem to use knowledge from his previous life at all. I feel like a lot of backstory probably got cut at some point, which leaves the plot unstable.
edit 9/11:
At least *some* reference to other worlds but not very many. Still not much happening though.

I loved this. There are many "meta" moments and references to popular culture. The MC (Miles) wanted to be average in this isekai but due to the 'scope' of the average being larger than they intended, the average is skewed toward the OP side. The MC tries to act more average, but is not very good at faking it. I hope to see a season 2 at some point to reveal what happens next.
One thing a new viewer may need to be aware of when watching is that 'YES, this is the first episode'. Unlike most isekai, it isn't until a good way through
...
that we see anything from how the MC died in their past life, or how they got where they are, as it starts off with them already grown, even though they had been reborn. The reason for this is explained when her backstory is revealed, but it is important for new viewers not to get confused if they feel like episode 1 isn't the first episode.

There are 2 episodes in the specials. I found both amazing, with the quality of the main series. I am not good at judging scores, but I can tell that the first episode was full of hilarity of the main series, and the second episode was very heartwarming. I very much felt for these specials.
Very minor spoilers from here on out.
Additionally, in the first episode (which is the classic anime 'hot springs' episode), I found their use of the creative censorship to really add to it. In the second, the characters were well-designed, and the story was incredible. I really hope the main series
...
gets a sequel, at some point I want to see a follow up to the second story. Perhaps I should read the manga, although personally I don't like reading manga ahead of the anime.

made me cry on last episode. Enjoyed it. I found the art weird at first, but 2009 was a different time. I also didn't see the need for Ameri until the end, when suddenly i understood. I feel like that character wasn't thought out. but our MCs were amazing. I wish there was a follow up more then some small OVAs, which, by the way, are incorrectly labelled on the GoGoAnime as part of the main 12. It has it's own page, its all a bit confusing.
I don't have a lot to say, but IMO if there was a remaster or something I would watch
...
it.
