The animation is pretty amazing: colours/fight sequences etc. it’s a damn shame it’s pedo-bait.
The ecchi has no purpose and the adult characters (maid/qi chick) inclination towards sexualising/imposing their supposed attraction upon a child character is downright weird and uncomfortable to watch (he’s 10 ffs). Like… why draw a character like this? it feels extremely gross to see a child character drawn and animated this way and it isn’t only the MC that this applies to (they do this to the little poison assassin girl too).
I personally dont like ecchi but will forgive it’s presence for a good story/animation when applied to older characters

Ok, first off; there were parts of this that I loved and some very small but still sort of significant parts of this that I didn't love. Overall I'm giving it an 8 purely because of the character dynamics, the pacing and the fact that I actually enjoyed the mixed animation.
The characters had distinct personalities and that made them more relatable than an entire series full of the same boring attributes. Firstly, Yukino and Arima were great.
