I'll start off by saying this has to be one of the best anime I've ever seen.

I love this anime because it doesn't take itself too seriously. I love deep and dark plots, characters that take a whole season to understand, unique plot twists, thought provoking morals ... Kill la Kill is not one of those. If you want, you can look into this anime and disect it like an English college proffessor. Or, you can just sit and watch, because this anime isn't going to force itself down your throat. It exists purely to entertain, and excells.

Mixed Feelings
I understood the purpose of this anime, and I will admit that I laughed quite a lot. The symbolism used for many sexual acts were sometimes more vulgar than the actual act itself, and never failed to amuse. Unfortunately, that's about where my attachment to this anime ends.

I thought the main character was a bit of a moron, and not in a lovable way. I've yet to see any reason for the male lead to fall for her. Yes she is the most attractive girl in school, but is also a bully. (yes, it's only because she's nervous/excentric, but I don't see much of ...

This would be a 10/10, if it were not for the second season.

The first season alone is one of my favorite anime of all time. The characters are compelling, the romance between the two main characters is not at all cliche, and the female love interest isn't just a damsel in distress; they both rely on each other equally. The music, from the opening/closing themes to just the soundtrack, is completely what makes this anime so fantastic. It pulls you into the anime very effectively.

The second season, however, resorts to anime cliches. A brother/sister romance, a damsel in distress female love interest, rape, ...
