Hmm yes i'm not very optimistic, but then, we are quite close to sydney, so perhaps they arent total fails =p. What type of phone do you have :O and how do you use it lol? Mine is pretty good, its just a small nokia handset i reckon i could have it last quite a while. If io do have reception i could always just turn it off while im on base and have it on while im at camp.

Hmm the activity i'll be doing is a fake crash site, and we have the venturers (younger scouts) look over it and then fill out forms...its pretty lame really but i got in late, maybe i'll get ago on another base....another fun one is playing with nerf guns...oh well, it should be fun hopefully! THey talk about it as if there will be some times that are slow, and you to have fun just with the other guys at the base.

Hopefully it'll b ok....:) i;m looking forward to it anyways! Should be fun....and my plan will probably be thwarted by a bonfire...=p but still!

I didnt go to soccer because i was packing....just went to rovers where i was sleepy and ate chocolate while people packed, very useful, then pub afterwards....rofl lol thats right, i put a doller in a poker machine, accidently bet 50 cents rather then 25cents, but got the feature and won 21 dollers...off one spin...lol...

Was kinda amusing! play the pokies at all? I only ever put one or two in, but i'm in positive ever since my 18th, where i put one doller in and won 30, so i figure as long as im in positive i fine...

Still at work unfortunately =p and well yeh next week, all weekend i'll be up at like 6am, they serve breakfast at 6.30 and i start running my activity at 8am on saturday and sunday.

Yeh wallets last a while, mines been....not sure how long, but i like it, but it's starting to wear....hmmm maybe i need a new one as well...I had too many cards in it for quite a while, so now that i've taken useless ones out it cards fall out because they are too loose lol...

My day is ok, was busy, went shopping for trip, had meetings =p you know, fun stuff! Now deciding wether to stay at work or go home and nap before this afternoons business....

Looking forward to my week off :) found out about the camp some more, the all day acitivies sound like they may be a bit too much like work for my liking, but i'll be working with one person i know well and a few i dont know so well, so will be good to get to know them and chat between doing stuff, and bonfire at night is always fun :D and if i feel like being anti-social i reserve my right to read a book in my tent lol....

Im so tired, my mum made me get up early today :(

Hehe, the CV part is done, the packing part is just starting! My head is starting to really hurt though, i should probably sleep soon lol.....

One they suggested earlier was the Universty of Austin in Texas, i'm not sure who they work with alot, so i'll have to ask about it though, it would be cool to get somewhere overseas, but even somewhere in Australia would be nice, because it means i could move around a bit during the 3 years.

Hmmmm job is kinda the easy option, but i'm already unhappy with it, so its not really an option at all....and i really want to get out of canberra, so yeh...=p

Hehe nice, i'm currently meaning to be packing and updating my CV, neither of which has happened...i've tracked down a tent....But thats it hahaha....

The areas are in the same building, but theres different divisions. Yeh, thats the next step, but its hard to determine wether they have just been busy or have actually been ignoring me, so i sent another one through thats requires response either tomorrow or wednesday...i've started planning for it not happening though...Apperently through an earlier meeting i gave them the impression they were second choice to what i wanted, rather then me being really keen...But it was in the week after pneumonia and i wasn't very with it, so hoped they'd forgive that, but apperently not. Oh well.

I'd go for a group house i think, or possibly start on campus, but i'm not sure whats there really. Going down to hobart with work next month so will visit the university while i'm there and chat to people (hence why fixing cv, they want to check it out =p).

My worry is hobart won't be interesting enough, i'm sick of canberra, and hobart is smaller, so i'm not sure if thats a good move, but i dont have that many options that appeal to me either....and 3-4 years is a long commitment, although technically if i didnt like it i could move after a year....hoping to actually get joint supervisor with another university perhaps so i can rotate around, that may be a better option.

I just need to be careful i'm not choosing this because its kinda the easy option (which isn't easy, but is easy to organise)...

My day was fairly busy! Just sorting out various travel arrangements and trying to sort out where i'm working for my next placement. The place i wanted are ignoring me for one reason or another, so i'm starting to try find other placements....lol. I sent 2 e-mails and left a phone call and 12 days ago and so far have gotten a "You'll get called sometime" lol, i sent another one, but i don't get a reply to that i'm just going to give up...oh well...

My plan for the rest of the evening is start organising packing for camping and updating my CV to send to people in hobart about the PhD...

I'm getting a apprehensive about that, its a big move and commitment...*sigh*

Yehhhh i own it =p was watching it yesterday, i think its fun ^.^

My day was pretty awesome, played tennis and had curry and beer. The curry was soooo tasty, we ended up with like 6 types of curry between 7 people. Was very very tasty!

Got home around 8ish and fell asleep...about to go back to sleep again i think! hope you get it done!
