Both these actions series get better as they progress and they have a similar vibe.

Yuri!!! on Ice
add

1) Both are masters at dealing with the technical side of the sports: throwing positions, adapting play style depending on the opponent for B.W (baseball) and the types of ice skating moves and attaining high scores for Y.o.I (ice skating). 2) Mihashi and Yuri are protagonists in a show that demonstrates and deals with anxiety issues. 3) Both have realistic scenarios in the sense that people across different teams are focused on and anything can happen. Unlike a movie where everything works out magically, sometimes you win; sometimes you fumble just like in real life. 4) Both Victor and Abe share something special with the protagonists of each, and take steps to help them overcome their troubles. Abe is a good reader of Mihashi and gradually knows how to calm him, same with Victor and Yuri, who are romantically involved.

Tokyo Ghoul:re

Ajin's artwork is nicer, and considering everything, does what TG Re wants to do but better: greater action, more interesting story, Kei's a more developed protagonist, not to mention the ultimate antagonist in Satō. Ajin is simply a cut above as a Ajin and human alliance battling against a overarching threat.

- Yuu and Eren are similar in personality and motives, both can make use of strong powers, the rest of the cast are very special and have their own reasons for being amazing. - Fighting back against an over powered enemy - Amazing and multi layered story line and great, complex characters in both - Great animation and music - Yeah, basically they are both amazing animes in every sense of the word, both sequels that focus on a narrower scope of specialised villains, just switch vampires with titans and vice versa, if you love one you’ll definitely love the other

Tokyo Ghoul:re

- Same theme, detectives with powers taking on supernatural entities. Tokyo Ghoul Re may very well have taken a few liberties, or perhaps been inspired by several elements in Descendants of Darkness. As well as investigations, there are cursed organ transplants, sexual themed violence, characters experience damage to the genitals, also implications of violation. Both series explore child abuse, and the over the top splat stick gore is present as well. - Protagonists Asato and Haise are similar in temperament and have interchangeable trials and end options in terms of the choices of who they can become. They share pasts that come back to haunt them and memory loss issues related to the story and other characters in their histories. In TG Re, Haise will eventually end up marrying Touka. - More character overlap occurs with a crazy doctor - Muraki meet Kanou, Tsuzuki and Uta can take on other people’s faces, for both there’s even a dismembered torso! - Each makes use of humour even though the setting is supposed to be quite dark. - Viz Media possibly noticed the similarities as they began republishing D.o.D manga September 2014, and released T.G Re October 2014. T.G Re is like an identical twin that was conceived after D.o.D but delivered around the same time, interesting.
