I will start this off with what is right and what is wrong, it's a question that humans have pondered for centuries. I really enjoyed this anime, A big part of that enjoyment was because it made me feel something, which is pretty hard to do. Aside from that, it made me think, which is even harder. It's a story based on a "mutli-route" VN, thus the anime is split into 4 arcs, each resetting at a different point in time.
I thought the first arc was the best executed. The final arc, or the incest route, was the most impressive in a sense, and if
...
given more time, I believe it could have really brought this show to an even higher level, as it did feel a bit rushed and left a lot to be desired.
There are two reasons some may be instantly turned off by this show, the first being the abundance of sex. I really think the key here is to view this as more than sex. I wasn't really aroused a single time during the series, as I would be with porn, because the way it was executed here had meaning and felt natural. I love when sex is used in such a way, I don't believe it should be avoided when it makes sense in the story, rather, it should be embraced. It shouldn't be replaced with infantile ecchi, as no real person has sex like that, it actually ruins a lot of the realism. Especially here, it was used as a form of consummation. The point of no return.
The second reason would be the incest, but at its core, this anime was about morality, and each arc had its own bit of so-called wisdom, whether it was about overcoming past struggles or the moral question of what is right and wrong. Every character grew with their arc, changed their outlook, or learned something new. Whilst incest isn't something I would personally embrace, I have a rather libertarian outlook on life, and why should two people be looked down upon or care what others think about what they do in their bedroom?
The other great part here is also about whether one can do anything about his feelings. It doesn't matter if those feelings are right or wrong; a person has little control over whom they love or don't love. Ironically, I wouldn't be surprised if a high proportion of the people who despise seeing this kind of stuff are the same people who'd say "I support the LGBT", How is this any different? No one can choose whom they fall in love with.
Overall, this was a good show, and the soundtrack was stellar and I have no complains about the art or animation. I would say it's a lot better than a large chunk of stuff being released today. This show wasn't made on a whim, it had thought put into it, even the final arc resonates with the title, "In Solitude, Where We Are Least Alone."

When I started with anime, there was novelty. The bottom of the barrel was an easy 8/9 for me with this show probably being the same. Now I am slowly becoming more and more critical, still not truly there. The TLDR once the novelty wears off the show just gets boring.
I honestly feel sad because the concept of this show, at least in my opinion, could've been a made into a 10/10 fun show to watch, I explicitly say fun as for me there are two types of shows. The fun shows like Bleach and the deep shows like FMAB/LOGH. I also have guilty pleasure
...
shows like HS DXD but as I mentioned the novelty is quickly wearing off. The reason I even mention this is there is a need to split between the fun and deep shows as putting both on the same scale would be impossible.
People like novelty, quickly jumping on the band wagon because this show is a bit more unique than others. My favorite word being "deconstruction" as it tells me everything I need to know, it will quickly get boring and repetitive. This isn't always a fact but when all the show has going for it is taking the stupidity of other shows and bringing it up to max, it's pretty hard to keep it fresh and interesting and at times the authors intention is confusing is it a parody or serious. This is exactly what I felt with Eminence in Shadow, the first 6-10 episodes I was going wow, this is amazing and hilarious, then it got stale and became boring and repetitive.
(Spoilers Below, there isn't much to spoil)
My biggest issue was the show had so many ways to keep it exciting but didn't bother. When you think of it this show is the same old overpowered MC power fantasy. My problems is with the fact that this OP MC is never at any risk, he has not a single vulnerability which just kills the show for me. There is a difference between Godly and overpowered, at least the latter still feels human. Eventually, the over powered battles and Cid's antics get boring as it's the same thing over and over again. I actually enjoy a magic/strengh wise over powered character but he has to have a weakness, whether, it's love, friends or in Cid's case the fear of his real identity being revealed.
Putting him at risk or revealing his identity to some of the main character was something I was begging for whilst watching the show, not really because it would be a "wow he is so strong" but instead would create much needed drama and tension which the show is missing due to the characters over powered nature. There are other issues however, this is the one that really glared at me because it killed much of the excitement, it was always tense when Lelouch in Code Geass despite his OP power had to think of ways to avoid being exposed.
There were so many times I lost count, rose's fight at the competition, apparently a very skilled fighter, realize the guy is taking wasting time and if he can dodge her blows so effortlessly, there must be something suspicious, but no she falls for it. I don't hate overpowered I hate infallibility. Then when shadow shows up the exact moment when Cid is called up to fight, not suspicious at all, this could of been an exiting no escape situation. The absurdity of Baldie being like oh this is some random kid who wandered here defo isn't shadow. I can't believe I am saying this but the most outlandish ecchi shows I've seen have better logic. When Beatrice notices elf scent on Cid and his power but doesn't link the two together. Finally, rose literally saw his face close up and has a better idea than most what he looks like without the suit but doesn't link the two together, it's like how dumb do you think everyone is.
As it stands this show is a solid 5 until it gets some new character and story development.

Dome x Kano is the first Manga I properly read, and it's also one of the best things I have read in a while. It's unique. The first 72 chapters were the peak of the story in my opinion they were full of excitement and kept you on edge I would easily give those a 10/10 masterpiece rating. The rest of the story is still good, however, I believe it struggles with pacing. If you do have the time I think it's still an enjoyable experience. The art is just amazing and the author didn't cut corners when showing our favorite scenes. The problems with
...
pacing kinda shine at the end making the ending perceived as rushed leaving a less than super satisfying feeling you would expect. Yet, I wouldn't call it explicitly bad, the ending made perfect sense especially if you were paying attention throughout the story to what was happening I just think it needed a few more chapters to be perfect. Overall, this is a great read especially if you are into this sort of thing.

Great show really enjoyable especially if you like the high IQ stuff like that from the first half of Death Note this is for you! The ending of the season totally makes it worth watching it's unexpected and surprises you. The music is also great and so is the animation quality my only critique would be Emma, one of the most annoying characters on the planet if not for her naivety all 12 episodes would be much more enjoyable. Still totally recommend this just try to ignore her because this show is really great with some interesting twists and turns.

My first anime and my eternal love. I cried that's how much I cared for the characters. I was suggested to watch this and was rather skeptical but it truly lived up now I am an anime addict. The soundtrack is perfection the story telling is immaculate and the quality is astonishing a must watch for everyone!
One will come to a sad realization that FMAB is one of the best things ever made with a minute amount of content leaving you with such an imprint. The lack of plot holes the lack of issues or complaints will leave you longing for much more but nothing
...
will ever fill the gap. There are only 2 shows in the whole world that reach such a level of excellence that's FMAB and ATLA.

Honestly this show is rather good. I mean its no masterpiece but you can never expect that much from ecchi. There is some great music that really lifts it up ironically the OST is pretty top tier thats something you wouldn't expect. At the end of the day this show has a average story with softcore porn.
A lot of it is very morally wrong but that can be said for a bunch of anime. Your enjoyment of this show will come from the mindset you enter with, It is hilarious to see people bash this show whilst wanting a second season it's as if
...
they are too scared to admit they had a guilty pleasure. Also I struggle to see how people call it hentai there is a lot of TV such as GOT depicting sex yet that isn't porn.
Very cultured. I can only hope for a second season!
